She studied piano with Prof. Ivan Klánský, at the University of Music in Dresden with Prof. Arkadi Zenziper and at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna with Prof. Ralf Heiber. Her musical expression was fundamentally influenced by her work with Giuseppe Ravì and his method "Respiro e Movimento". She regularly improves her pianistic skills in courses led by prominent figures in the international performing arts (Nikolai Lugansky, Eugen Indjić, Boris Berman, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Andrzej Jasinski, Behzod Abduraimov).
As a soloist, she regularly works with leading Czech orchestras, including the Prague Chamber Philharmonic, the National Theater Orchestra, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava and others, and performs at major music festivals such as Prague Spring, the Mendelssohn Music Week in Wengen, Talentinum, the Antonín Dvořák Music Festival in Příbram, the Leoš Janáček International Music Festival, the Mahler Jihlava Music Festival, the Autunno Musicale a Como, the Bruno Walter Music Days, Prague Live - Artists as Guests in Wolfsburg, the Prague Clarinet Days, the Smetana Days in Pilsen and others.
In the field of chamber music, she forms a duo with her sister, violinist Miriam Magdalena Haniková, and is a member of the Mucha Trio, together with violinist Ludmila Pavlova and clarinettist Anna Paulová. Her collaboration with the soloist of the National Theater and Prague State Opera, Ivo Hrachovec, with whom she released a CD of compositions by Leoš Janáček in 2014, is also significant. She recently recorded the unfinished Romance in E minor by L. van Beethoven for the NAXOS record label and released her first solo CD with works by Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Smetana, Janáček and Skoumal.

Thank you for this exceptional performance by Johanna Haniková, bringing out all the playful subtleties of this masterpiece by Schumann. The Bösendörfer is by far the best instrument for this repertoire.

This is the most beautiful piano I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard and played hundreds of high end brands and models. Johanna surely does it justice.

    ベーゼンドルファーのピアノの音は、雑味が少なく、みずみずしくて、磨かれてきらきらと輝いている宝石のようです。 美しい。本当に美しい音色。
