Just now seeing this video!! I LOVED watching how you did that background with the oil pastels. I'm always trying to figure out how to use those in coloring books and what you've done here is amazing! Now I'm inspired to try this...maybe for one of H.K.'s potion bottle pages!! Hi Erica just beautiful I have some Paul Rubins 72 set and when I opened the box I was to scared to use the worry that I’ll bugger her up but watching your video has given me confidence 😊to give it a crack.. so I’m hoping she’ll be right.. sorry a bit of Aussie slang hear..❤❤❤😊😊😊xxx

I received some oil pastels for Christmas, but wasn't sure how to work with them. This has been very helpful, such a simple way to create something beautiful and encourages me to try them which is great. I want show the person who gave them to me that their gift is being appreciated.

This came out really gorgeous! I don't have any oil pastels but this makes me want to try them. Do they smear onto the next page after you spread them out? I know you can spray fixative, but I really don't like to spray my pages. TFS!

Thanks!! If fixatives aren’t for you, I think adding a piece of wax paper between the pages would be a good idea. Mine isn’t too thick, but pressure when coloring a different page may cause some transfer.
