Johan Cruyff's words are always very inspiring, not just for footballers but for people in general: teenagers, parents, politicians, teachers, business leaders, you name it! I have always enjoyed listening to him ever since I was a kid growing up in Holland in the 70s. For most Dutch people his strong Amsterdam accent makes everything he says come out even more special. What is amazing is that all through his life, he always stayed the same and never let his living legend status get in the way of his humanity. Since his death , I have watched hundreds of clips and listened to hundreds of sound bites. I am truly inspired by him and have found that I can apply many of the things he said to my own life, which has absolutely nothing to do with football. Thank you, Mr.Cruijff for having lived your life with such class and integrity. You will always be a part of me.

I cannot think of another Dutchman that was more beloved by his country. Always honest and straightforward. Often with very simple words and got at something very deep.

Magician on the field, genius on the sidelines. Not only the best Dutch coach but one of the best coaches ever.

So from yesterday, the legend became myth..... :'-( RIP Sir Johann...

Unforgettable because it is a given moment that has remained unique and cannot be reached forever: Johan Cruijff forever!

He's the best player / coach of all time. Rest in peace Johan!

I totally love this man. I would have chewed my hind leg off to play with him, or for him. But then I would have been even less likely to be good enough! Weird thing, I coached 35 teams of youth players. I coached exactly the same way. First, you see the player. Then you set them up for success. JC left the world a much better place.
