This is such a beautiful puppet! The fact they took into consideration the anatomy and how it would run and such, while taking into count things like brathing and the ears is AMAZING.
Really great design of the puppet and really great puppeteering of the horse's movements! I would love to see this in action.

littleblackwolf3 I saw the play a few years back. Not sure if it’s still on, but it was great! Very impressive puppeteering, especially on stage where it’s harder to see the puppeteers, you almost think it’s a real horse 😂

If you ever have a chance, definitely go and see it!! I saw it in I think the end of 2012 in Toronto and it was absolutely fantastic. Just amazing.
The way the puppeteers moved the horse was so amazing it made it seem like it was a real horse! Good job!
They understood the little horse details that made it so realistic. Golly...
This is amazing! You actually forget it's not a real horse, even though you know he's not. The puppeteers do an awesome job of capturing a horse's natural movements so well, the puppet comes a live. What a treat it has been to be able to see this "horse."
It's really incredible. I'm utterly fascinated by this.

It’s 2020 I’m not impressed. This is like some 1800s stuff.
When they walked the pony around to the back of Joey I thought, "Watch out!. He's gonna kick...no he's not you idiot." I got lost in the magic and really believed Joey was a real horse. Simply fantastic work/artistry.
This is the first time I've seen this. I cried all the way through. The work, no, craft of these puppeteers is stunning and remarkable! It reminds me of the Yaqui deer dance from Baile Folklorico. My soul is touched and moved.
that's so cool! those three puppeteers must really be insync with each other to get the puppet to act like a really horse!

Joey is the coolest! The puppeteers really have the moves, gaits and the nuances of horse behavior down. The impression of the weight of his footsteps, and weight shifting, how his ears convey emotion and intent truly give him personality. Just wow! Fantastically natural movement.
The puppet artists make the character emote, seemingly effortlessly. Sometimes artistry is doing something difficult and making it look easy. These artists get it done - thank y'all!

There is a circus in germany that uses holographic animals for their shows. Ive never been there, but its pretty amazing! Just as the ones with only human acts, like Cirque de Soleil (hope I spelled that right)
Joey is a British theatre puppet. I'd loved by the queen and very famous.
11:04 the horses are like "Um, what is that?"
Anyone else randomly get this in their recommendations
Oh my goodness how alive he seems! They are so talented and empathic! I've been around horses, ridden and owned them most of my life. This is a grand prix show!😃🐴

This is just amazing. I saw Warhorse in London with my husband a few years ago. I was just so overwhelmed with emotion. It's such a beautiful play. And Joey, is just amazing.
Very clever, talented and fascinating to watch.🐴
I love how they're talking to him like he's a real horse 😅
I love this horse, Joey. I love the movements and everything. Thanks puppeteers!
Can we just appreciate how beautiful that piece of art work is and I would treat it like a real horse lol 😂 but seriously they should be so happy to have all that and creating war horse and war horse Joey himself!! He is so beautiful and I love the background of Joey :D and I love learning about war horse joey
Absolutely incredible!! Every single intricate little part from the puppet's overall design right down to the puppeteers' execution is mindblowingly stunning! Some serious awards need to be given to the team that created this amazing and beautiful character!

GOD THE WAY IT MOVES IS SO ANIMATED EVEN THOUGH ITS JUST WOOD ITS SO LIFE LIKE
Saw the play at the Peabody Opera House in STL, a few years ago, as an extra adult along with my son's class trip. This show is absolutely stunning. You completely forget that you're looking at puppets!
I saw war horse and it's amazing

Unbelevably perfect and excellent done .

So real... What a cool puppet (And puppeteers!!)
This reminds me of the puppets in "The Lion King"! You know it's not real but you're still fascinated, believing in the magic no matter what your age.
I really love the book War Horse! I love the horse Joey!!!
I fell in love with him and I haven't even seen the show. I have however read the book. Knowing the story, and seeing this beautiful puppet so masterfully brought to life, I'm about ready to cry.
The play was beautiful and the actors could actually ride these magnificent puppets. The puppeteers were such masters , they almost disappeared. The entire production was amazing. Seeing this live in DC was definitely very special
This is amazing, I wonder if they could come to my town an perform a show here someday, that would be incredible…👍❤️🙏🏼

This is so realistic WTF! Amazing shizzz over here XD
The movement looks so dams realistiiiic
The movement of the ears adds something Soo lively to this
