What Ryan said was true !!! I see many drivers that are racing and can't drive and handle their cars properly !!! They are taking expensive cars and using them as a weapon because they are "p" at another driver and then laughing about it !!! NASCAR needs to bring back the fines and point docking again !!!

You know, after that crash in the 500, Ryan finally learned that social media has a powerful voice, and he learned that people actually cared about him and his well-being. Ryan is a fighter and he truly is a survivor.

Ryan actually does a lot better in SRX and he’s winning races again in sprint cars and more. Ryan has more experience in cars and different models than Joey ever does. Ryan Newman is championship caliber. He should’ve won the SRX title this year but he was just short

Newman (in my opinion) was not being a bully at all. Lagano has gotten in disputes with not only Newman, but Harvick, Hamlin, and Stewart. Can't really argue with this fact.

Newman reminds me of Kevin Harvick a little bit. They’re both very smart respectively and when they’re mad, they can really get mad. I’ve seen Newman have heated moments before and I still think he’ll have those in the future just like Harvick, but I think Harvick can be one that you don’t want to piss off.

Yes Joey has matured into a solid pilot. He had a few moments in the home depot 20 but was very inconsistent and unlucky. He may have suffered from joining the big leagues too early but we could see his potential. The Joey logano of today is like a new guy altogether. I think in time he will become even more consistent and he might be a regular title threat in the years ahead. The drama is nice when it's necessary but I find Newman makes a huge deal out of a little thing.

Watching this after Logano won a Championship, having more success at Penske than Newman did and Newman seems to keep going to even less as good rides as the ones he had before (RCR and now Roush). I like Newman but this confrontation didn't age well for him.

You aren't understanding it right. Newman is mad for getting wrecked by a guy running out of talent. Like he said, it is Logano's job to control his car. He was even more mad because Newman was racing for the chase and Logano was far out of it AND this was the third time in the season Logano had wrecked him, which pretty much cost him the chase. Newman races hard but hardly ever wrecks anyone. That is the epitome of what a Nascar driver should be.

newman is a pit bull lol ......i ´m a nascar fan since i was four and here in brazil was so damn difficult to watch those guys battling in the oval tracks ...saw dale , darrell , rusty , elliot and all of those damn good drivers......logano is a hell of a race driver... and i think in this case he´s right , he was trying to pass and got lose...remember that wreck..... as a ´´touring car´´ the contacts are part of the race..... and racing is racing...newman has nothing to argue in this case.... nascar is awesome....cheers

While I like both drivers, outside of Tony Stewart and maybe Richard Childress, there isn't one Cup owner that would hire Newman over Logano right now. Joey has come into his own since going to Penske and is only going to get better. Newman is a good driver, but his tendency to drive every lap like it is the last one in the race and not take care of his equipment is why he has never reached his potential. There is little doubt that Joey will win a championship before Newman does at this point.

Not a Logano fan, but I shake my head at Newman telling him to "learn how to drive". I've seen Ryan race the leader at Martinsville before with 10 laps to go and Ryan was 2 laps down. Ridiculous!

He’s done this with Harvick before too and he’s pissed off Harvick worse I believe. Harvick can be more of a hothead than Newman. Newman is one of those guys that’s very smart. Harvick is as well though.

Let me see if this will sink in for you. In Ryan Newman's second season in Nascar he won FOUR TIMES MORE RACES THAN JOEY LOGANO HAS WON IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. HE ALSO WON MORE THAN TWICE AS MANY POLES IN ONE SEASON THAN LOGANO HAS WON AN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. Let me state this again in case this was difficult to understand. Ryan Newman in one year of racing accomplished FAR more than Logano has accomplished in his entire career.

LOL! Newman turned down Penske last year when they offered him. He has plenty of teams he can go to next year and Logano will never be close to the same caliber of driver.

If Joey can't handle hard racing, then maybe he should go back to riding go carts at the local putt-putt....

So I watched from the race what exactly happened. Newman was up top and Logano was trying to pass him under while using the aero from Newmans car to get by. Loganos car got loose and the back end spun sideways in to Newman. Newman didn't hit the wall, but he did get damage after he spun out and his flat tires tore apart some of his car. So it is not like Logano totally wrecked Newman here too. He just got loose. Back then they were driving those COT (ugly) cars that several disliked. By the way, back in 2003 during a race Newman was banging in to Gordon and Gordon eventually got mad at him, spinning him out. Drivers get mad at each other all the time.

Newman has the staring thing down pat. Right at the beginning he gets the stare right down into Logano's eyes and never lets up for a second. I keep hearing how Logano's a rich kid, but there aren't any poor kids in any kind of racing. Even racing a go-kart in a supermarket parking lot costs more money than anybody I knew as a kid ever had. They're all rich kids, every one of them, or they never would have been able to start racing. Some may be richer than others, but they're all rich.

I wouldn't see this as a "heated exhange"....

Considering Joey and Ryan both have 17 cup wins at the time of this comment, Ryan has no room to talk about teaching Joey to drive a race car. Ryan's been in the sport for 8 more years than Joey and has gone winless since 2013. Joey's done absolutely nothing but get better and win more and more. Joey's been closer to a championship the last three seasons than Ryan has his entire career. He's just pissy that he couldn't win much, even with Hendrick's equipment.

Harvick is a lot more aggressive than Newman in terms of being pissed off. Harvick has actually gotten into legit fights before.

bowyer punches him 14 times after 2019 all star race as he sits in his car. after he gets out Newman throws zero punches in return. proves my point. if it had been Logan he'd have gone crazy but bowyer aint scared

You're the only guy that thought Bowyer wasn't scared... Newman didn't need to throw a punch, he got love tapped by that spindly hick. Meanwhile 30 minutes later, Bowyer is still wearing his HELMET - because he knows if he takes it off he's probably getting knocked out. Newman is smart - Clint proved he had a brain cell or two as well when he was eating snacks in his trailer and shagging his wife that night... still wearing his helmet. :P

Newman did race Matt hard at Bristol and cost him the race when Ryan was getting lapped! Ryan does race everyone hard...

By the way, Newman is in the chase. Newman was fucking leading when the caution came out. Kurt was about 5 seconds behind before the intentional spin by Bowyer. Kurt only finished higher because his pit crew got him out first. Anyways, NEWMAN IS IN THE CHASE!

Newman is and always was a far better driver than Logano is. Newman knows what give and take is, Logano, being the hot head he is, thinks he owns the race track. Sure Logano has what, 3 wins under his belt? But in this situation, Newman had the sole right to be pissed, you know, getting wrecked 3 times in 6 races while trying to race for points while the little kid is just racing. You'd be pissed too. You are amongst the DUMBEST people that have commented on this video.
