Ask God to reveal Himself, don't ask the preachers of the churches. God says in Jeremiah 29:13 that if you seek Him with all your heart then you will find Him.

I personally don't have a problem with him not specifically singling out a particular group (such as gays) to condemn, but when you're asked a DIRECT QUESTION about them, you have a responsibility to answer truthfully. He's damn near worn out his shoes, having danced around that question for so long. Yes, homosexuality isn't the only sin, but if his answer's always gonna be "I try to stick to my lane" or "I stick to the things I know," then maybe this isn't the job for you. Study your bible until you ARE sure and answer the questions, not HATEFULLY, but bluntly and honestly.

If he is true to the word he should stick with all of it and straight up say its wrong. You can't pick and choose whats right and whats wrong in the bible. +Nanyyynana_ 917 you are wrong...ANY SIN will keep you out of heaven...thus the need for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for all(all become guilty before the law) but the bible clearly differentiates in the in the seriousness of sins by way of the punishment meted out under the old covenant...if you read clearly God even distinguished between murder and manslaughter...every sin is forgivable with repentance, but stomping your foot and hardening your will towards God and saying that A. His word is a lie and your sin is no sin and B. Obfuscating the truth by your actions and misleading others to eternal damnation and C. refusing to even contemplate or have a willingness to repent and marching out false ""scientific evidence"" is to compound an already serious sin with witchcraft and idolatry...not to mention all the blasphemy that goes with it... they are all becoming like an assembly of modern day pharaohs hardening their hearts toward God to the very end...the lack of understanding with which to perceive an grasp the necessity of repentance and do so is a clear indication of the severity of the sin because it is God himself who hardens their hearts this in and of itself speaks of a punishment greater than that of death that was demanded by The Law of God so yes God does deal with different sins in different ways surely a thief would be granted less chastisement and greater opportunity for repentance than say a serial murderer read your bible for yourself and stop spouting ""contemporary Christian "" dogma

This makes sense, he is a self help preacher. He preaches building you up in YOU, or the flesh. This is mainly because he preaches from the flesh and not the Spirit. When a man is truly called of the Spirit to preach, he will preach from the Spirit. The Spirit will not build you up in the flesh, but in the Spirit of Christ. Without the anointing, the preaching will always be from the flesh, doing nothing for the Spirit, only the flesh.

right thats what i thought was wrong at some point i feel like money spent on that and it seems like it wasnt a few times. I had to stop body building and doing things because i knew i was focusing on making myself sexy and self worship. Not good to be unhealthy but you reach a certain it doesnt look good you dont look young you just look weird.

1. "You go to church to feel guilty, most people feel guilty enough." You are SUPPOSED to feel guilty! It's called conviction given by the Holy Spirit to bring a person to their knees in repentance and change their ways! Making them feel good makes them comfortable with their sin, and ultimately, with the ministry. (That's why his congregation is so large. They're all comfortable.) 2. "Know that there are better days." Ummm, we currently live in the last days where Jesus Himself said that perilous times and persecution would come to those that follow Christ. 3. "I try to stay in my lane of what I feel called to do." Well if you're a true follower of Christ, you have been called to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nations." The gospel is God's truth! So we must go and preach God's truth to the 4 corners of the earth! You can't just choose which part of the Bible you want to reinforce. We must preach the entirety of God's word. Which includes topics like this.

In all his videos and t.v appearances he state that Homosexuality is a Sin, an is wrong by the Word of GOD that he believes in, which he also states too. That mean he blesses you with a talent that you, yourself, will be able to use. It's up to you if you are going to use It. Second: He Do Not Make People Feel Guilty, my brother. Because we are here to spread the good news with GOD heal the sick, feed the poor, evangelies the world, etc....you get what I am saying. Were not suppose to walk making people feel bad. That's between them and GOD, all by himself. What if I knew your Past and kept saying it to you without no motive, no way out to seek help, my brother, is that my duty or am I suppose to help you help you with in what I am allowed to do?! Third: Watered Down! Had can a message be water down if your exponding the Word of GOD, exalting GOD Word, and or just using what was given to you as a man?! See it is hard for people to come to GOD Because CHRISTIANS are just like the World. Why would so and so want to come to Christ when Believers down each other. I see more Muslim/Islam brothers then Christian Brethen. Know Why?! Because they don't best each other up. They stand together!!!! We as Believers should do the same, should we not. There is enough downing a Christian as it is. I had to stop myself sometimes. I got saved 7 years ago. No growing up in the Church. I did not talk about people till I got around Church Folks. There are 6 verses in the entire Bible that are attributed to homosexualty. There are over 100 that speak directly to divorce. How many divorced people do you know vs. homosexuals and which do you think God obviously cares about more?

He's not a Pastor, he's not a Bible scholar, he is a motivational speaker. 2 Timothy 4:3, "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear."

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness .Preach the word be ready in season and out of season; Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. It is a balance of the word, not just fluff.

Itching ears heap unto themselves preacher after preacher who will tickle their ears with worldly messages that make them feel good.

If they ever make a movie about Joel Osteen‘s life the right person to play him it would definitely be Matthew McConaughey!

If he was truly called by God he would be called to speak the truth! You don't go to church to be convicted of sin like he says.. As if it's a bad thing. you go to church to be set free! We are all sinners. Why bury it under the carpet as if it doesn't exist. There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus! He paid the price. It's up to us to accept that free Gift. Osteen is veiling the truth. Leaving out the most critical part. Redemption! We all struggle because there is a struggle. The enemy is against us. ( sin, bondage and chains) God is for us. ( freedom, love and life) Once we realize that we can embrace the cross. He said "it is finished" when we walk in the spirit of Christ, the flesh is naturally convicted by him who is Us. Ie born again. A believer. We no longer want to sin or grieve the spirit. The word says do not take away or add to scripture. Osteen clearly takes away ( avoids) as if it doesn't exist. Picking and choosing his own truth and doctrine. Not the one true God's.

***** I know these scriptures Sir maybe you need to read the whole book again. Serving Christ is a life time process not a one time event. We are BORN again not to continue in sin but to turn (repent Luke 13:3-5, John 3:-5) Jesus didn't come so you could "live like you want" (Romans 6:1-8) but those of you who live the illusion of Jesus can so we can sin all we want will one day stand before Jesus.Matthew 7:22-23.... God loves you and so do I but these ministers that say what you want to hear are full for a reason.... he is preaching what you want to hear not what we need to hear... I could go on but I shan't.... I do not need you quoting scripture to me I know my bible (not that I don't have more to learn but obviously not from the VERY misdirected. I will not reply because I won't change your mind I will pray for you. You are either a troll or very misdirected. May God direct us both in the proper path

His dad was the best preacher I've ever seen. Hard to see his kid scared to speak against gay marriage. It's like a politician not wanting to lose his vote. Scared that he wouldn't be able to fill that Stadium of people every week

But for real guys, we need to be praying for these people because there's a good chance that they are so totally spiritually blind that they have no clue that they themselves are deceived and are deceiving many.

Here after Ravi passed, to remind myself that Ravi preached Jesus and the cross, sin and hell. He even quietly called out Joel, who I am absolutely scared for on judgement day, to stand before God with all the souls he's willingly led astray, for money. Have mercy....

We are called as Christians to love God and love people. The goal is to walk like Christ. ♡ It important as Christians to get into the Word regularly and ask holy spirit for His correction. No need to judge or condemn others, if a person truly is in Christ theu will have convictions and will not continue to live in sin. They also won't look for people like Joel to make them feel better about living on sin. (whatever that sin may be)

feeling guilty has nothing wrong with it, is another way you can describe "äware of your sin" and so repent. We are not normal people, we are all sinners and deceitful in heart and deserve to be burn in hell, unless we repent and believe in JESUS and continue to repent and believe on a daily basis as long as we are on earth. the greatest people to the Osteens are those who came up and will be coming up to them and to throw their hard earn money into building the Osteen prosperity and the Osteendom, and the Osteens fed them with gospel from hell.

He said he will not ever talk or preach against sin. So much for being born again.

He touches mostly on New Age issues, relationships, goals and life obstacles, visualisation and living in the end, affirmations, coping with adversity, topics we see Eckhart Tolle, Oprah, the law of attraction speakers, psychologists discussing and advocating, that's why he is so sympathetic to me. Even with gay marriage, he is open and accepting, unlike many Southern Baptist fundamentalists. His messages are more motivational and about psychology sprinkled with religion, that's why he is pleasant to listen to and charismatic enough to motivate and excite his audience, without being polarising. Although I am not a Christian, I would visit his church if I go to Houston again...

I Iike Joel Osteen's sermons.They are scriptures from the Bible. From what I understand, these sermons are valuable to human beings as well they glorify God, when human beings accept them and use them. They are for our benefits as human beings.

I was actually laughing when he almost stumbled and said Jesus rebuked hypocrites in the synagogues and market places. haha
