Not saying he isn't a genius cause he is, but I can see his logic here. (100 + 10) x 6 would be 660, which is already the answer. If you know that, then you know that adding 9 instead of 10 will make 660 - 6, or 654, and the final 6 is pretty easy to get from the rest.

The second numbers game was so easy. 5 x 2 = 10 + 100 = 110 x 6 = 660. Right? I’m so bad at the maths round but it took me such little time shockingly to do this one. Yet Joe still did it differently.
@TimTam69420
2 жыл бұрын
there are usually lots of different methods that get to the same answer. Joe's approach is actually pretty similar to yours, in that he added to the 100 then multiplied by 6. The only difference is that you saw that the 10 could be made, while he didnt and used the existing 9, undershot and managed to use the remaining numbers to fudge it up to 660. an alternative way that i found is : 9 - 2 = 7 7 x 100 = 700 8 x 5 = 40 then 700 - 40 = 660
@Mister_Torgue
2 жыл бұрын
I got to 660 by doing 9x100 and then subtracting 5x6x8 to get 900-240=660. I also got to the first number by a different method they used, seems there's (almost) always multiple ways to get to the target number.
