👍👍👍👍...that was a good night to be in audience. Joe and this gang were sounding wicked tight!
Negah Santos (on Bongos) is literally infectious! Her Musicianship is Masterful, and Her smile could light us The Dark Side of The Moon! 🤩🥰
Seeing John Lampley on trumpet and Negah Santos on percussion is like watching a Wongnotes breakout. Very cool that those 2 bands merge like that.
(for those old enough to recall). More cowbell !!
That was cool… the band was into it. Saw Joe when he toured with the James Gang on a special outing 15 years ago or so. A lot of fun.
More please!!!
After 52 years it's still a grooving rocking tune, and Joe delivers the goods. His Maserati still does 185.
The band is so tight on this; they make it easy for Joe to go on this classic tune.
bang that cow bell like its chiristmas son
All that, and the lady playing the upright bass....!! Someone else mentioned the sound guy. Nice work on the mix...!!
Musicians are just so damned cool. They recognize and enjoy each other’s skills.
Seen Walsh a couple of times including w/Stevie Nicks 1986. This is his best ever "Funk 49" live. Hands down best.
Love seeing the band have so much fun and joy!!!

This is the first break I've come across on KZread. When I was watching the live show go into Funk 49, I was again wishing I could stay with the audience. This song was one of the reasons Joe and the James Gang was always one of my favorites. Keep a rocking Joe. By the way, I also thought it was a treat when I saw him show up for a beer with John Goodman on whatever that show formerly known as Roseanne is called. Ok that was seriously bad-ass. Steven's band is of course amazing and Joe's still got it!
I muted it in order to register the view. I grew up listening to Walsh. But when my dad died suddenly, with him went my ability to maintain while hearing any of our favorite music. Not only do I miss him, but now I miss so many others. Walsh, Bowie, CCR, Pink Floyd, the list keeps going. 50 years of music... now so immensely off limits for me. Modern "music" has an occasional good song, but really I feel like a man without a country now. I do not know why sharing this was such a strong feeling. I miss you dad!!

@@Cheristm I am certain it is because of how recently it occurred. He was SUPPOSED to be recovering in order to come back home. We were not notified until after he was embalmed, so now there's the serious legal issue going on at the same time. The suddenness and recentness is why I am in so much pain right now. Had it been something expected or if it had happened 20 years ago, I think I would be ok listening once again. But its really bad right now for me to hear or see ANYTHING he liked in life.

Wrote this when he was 21 or 22, bet he never imagined still cranking it out in his 70s and sounding better than ever ,,ugh, who’s gonna fill those shoes ? Good luck to em and long live Joseph Fidler walsh ,, and the smiles on that band say it all 👍
I'm so glad Joe Walsh cleaned up his act 30 years ago so we can enjoy him now. You haven't really experienced James Gang until you've heard their 1s album on a manual turntable. I hope I'm that hip when I'm 75! BTW, what a band!
omg. Somehow I was just 4 years old again, dancing in the living room with my mom, her wearing her headband and blue fringe jacket, with me in my "far out" shirt (that meant bold paisley). That's what was always happening when I heard this song as a little kid. People were always bright and happy, and I heard this song all the time. How can anyone listen to this song and not be that happy? They should play this song more in Washington and in Moscow. Peace, love, music, and happiness!
