Man the older I get and the more I see, the more “the truth” proves to be a lie and the more people in power clearly act for themselves (en masse) instead of the people they serve… the more I start to think the battle of good vs evil is real. It’s not good guys vs bad guys though. It’s a battle each and every one of us fight in our own head every moment of everyday. It’s the decision to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing vs giving into what’s easiest, what feels the best for me, me, me, giving into uncontrolled self indulgence. This morality is the reason I feel religion is absolutely critical to successful civilization. Doesn’t matter what religion as long as it’s based in and expressed as love, truth and humility. Shared, strong moral values are the fabric/cornerstones of civilization

Yes you are right on a personal level, but when you realize that politics is power. You will understand the corruptness, regardless, don’t let it make YOU a bad person, even though you can be around bad people, its important to know morality. And yes, the religious experience has been around for thousands of years, its embedded deep in our psyche, the problem is its been turned into a creed, more of a fanaticism and a following the rules to get your ticket to heaven, instead of actually having morals and a purpose in life. And thats just one of the problems, but other than that, Christianity has done very well on a surface level. Just very over saturated in my opinion. But regardless, im a Christian, i love the jesus christ story.

Count yourself lucky then that you lived long enough to see and realize that truth, because most don't. Most are shackled to a treadmill 40-80+ hours a week, making just enough to barely get by, with little or no downtime. They work away their whole lives and are always too tired and distracted to even ponder such things, much less come to such realizations. The system is emphatically evil from the ground up; It doesn't want smart, free and creative thinkers innovating and inventing. It wants workers just smart enough to run the machines, and do the paperwork, but too dumb to ask why, dream up better ways, or question if it's really worth it. Keep the status quo. And anytime anything falls outside of the status quo, the system is designed to deal with it by benefitting the rich, and punishing the poor. If a person or small business fails, it must have been their own fault and there is no help or support for them. But if a big corporation, bank, or wall street fails, then "They are too big to sink and we must bail them out!". You can't have the rich, or even middle-class, without a poor class. The system is designed to sink and keep as many in poverty as possible. What good are laws even when the punishment is a fine? The rich man pays the fine and walks out free (to go do it again) but the poor man cannot pay, so they get tossed in a cage. That is why the system they pitched to the world is called "The American Dream". Because you have to be asleep to believe it. The wealthiest nation on Earth, also has: 1. The highest prison population on the planet. 2. The most homeless. How is that even possible?
