A very cool thing about these vids on KZread is that you can reduce the speed to half so you can follow along easier if needed. But then it sounds like Joe is drunk Lmfao. I just imagine myself hanging out with him and having a few drinks! Dream come true!

I started playing 17 years ago when I discovered Satch. Most inspirational musician, always has been. And this 2-part series pushed me into taking lessons after all this time because I want to know what I'm doing aha! That tone gives me eargasms! If anyone can help deconstruct it, I would really appreciate it - I'm trying to replicate it on my Pod HD500 but no luck thus far (and none of what I found on CustomTone comes close)

@ 4:11 is the exact reason why Joe Satriani is a more palatable, and even more successful artist/guitar player, than Steve Vai....and other extremely good guitar players; who are too wrapped up in the technical aspect. I mean each to their own.....but in terms of commercial success...Joe nails it. Better songwriting, memorable melodies and solo's that you can feel.
