He's held it for a while, the thing about heavyweights is that it's like rolling the dice as a champ every time. Very hard to hold it a while when anyone who lands on you can rock you and put you to sleep with any shot

premierconstrictors so true. That's why the hype around Francis is garbage. Stipe can knock someone out just like Francis can. I'm excited to see this fight.

just like stipe said, a lot of heavyweights hit hard, its not that big of a thing. The real issue is we have no idea if francis can go to the ground, thats more important than punching power. I dont think francis would even get past werdum.

  • @laOrzy

+Josphelli hsilak he's probably decent at best on the ground. I think the fight is going to end up like the stipe vs overreem fight, stipe mounted landing big bombs on him putting him to sleep. He's only really fought one crazy good heavyweight in alistair but who knows

There are less guys nipping at the heels of the ufc heavyweight champ. The changes of getting knocked out are greater. But the chances of,getting clipped and choked out are less. Stipe has to be nervous about about the sheer physical power of his opponents, it's something but I'm sure that it's more than worth having the belt. The psychological pressure that Hughes felt with so many up and coming fighters all gunning for his spot, the fear of being surpassed in technical skill must be worse.

I'm no fighter, but I'd like to see these guys give more props to their opponents. Talk about how they really feel and not put on a pokerface. I feel like Stipe is being dishonest, "I'm walking out with that belt". Like really, there's no doubt in you? I think that's how you end up going out like Joanna as she did against Rose.

we'll see if this is enough. In the end octagon reveals the truth. Just because you say you are the best, it doesn't mean that the fear still isn't there. If you can't admit to it, that seems like a weakness, imo. Looking forward to this fight.
