I'm 60 and work out , dont eat crap anymore . U have to take care of your body or it won't take care of you. When I say I'm 60 it feels like I'm talking about someone else because I don't feel 60 I don't look 60 . It's all a state of mind. There were no vids like this years ago but I had 4 kids and always after each 1 got my body back to where I wanted it to be. At night when they where sleeping I'd work out on my own in my front room , with tins of beans as weights lol doing sit ups with Mt feet under the edge of the sofa and pulling myself up, it's a state of mind . My life hasn't been easy ffs it's been crap but I'm not a victim I'm a survivor and even at 60 u can do anything u put your mind 2

I started a business last year and now I'm on the way to owning my house and I'm making more than the average 31 old thru my business. Also I'm a musician and now I'm creating easily. Life gets better.

I think the masculine energy that men like you display is the one we need. You are compassionate and thoughtful but combine it with toughness, resilience that’s what we need from the masculine element. A man is more of a man when he can be sensitive and attuned to others, not less. A real man is sensitive. That takes courage. Thanks Joe Rogan

You make the time for what you're passionate about. I work an 8-5 job, with MMA classes from 6-8 and I get home and go to bed, I wake up at 4:30 every morning on days when I go to work and workout (lift weights) to get everything I want done in the day since I don't have the time to do it, so I make the time. I do not like waking up early, but force myself to and that's what discipline is.

Does anyone agree that success is subjective? Not just a measure that society puts in place and is accepted by the majority of the general population. Maybe it’s dependent on who’s measuring it and the accomplishments that person has set out to attain and ultimately achieves. I believe I am not part of the majority that accepted their idea of success. Or maybe I’m just a lazy fukn asshole in his moms basement smelling my own farts. Something I ponder often. “A man is a success if he wakes up in the morning and goes to sleep at night and in between does what he wants to do.” -Bob Dylan Also. He “Who has filled his niche, and accomplished his task; has left the world better than he found it. Whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul; who never lacked appreciation for earths beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had” -Robert Louis Stevenson

Worst part about motivational videos sometimes is you get the emotional satisfaction from them as if you actually accomplished something, when you did nothing but listen to someone who actually has. I over-indulge in these videos more than I act on them.. Despite that acknowledgment, I feel it will make no difference.

  • @hectorwong8521

Everybody knows what's good for them, few act on that knowledge. In a way, you actually did accomplish something. By indulging in these videos, you are opening yourself up to new ways of thinking, ways that people who are successful by their own measure use. By doing this, you are already halfway there to doing what these people are doing. Listening to these people speak will not change what you do, but you can allow it to change HOW you do what you do. If you allow it. It's all about allowing yourself to adapt these mindsets AGAINST your habit of thinking the way you previously did (filled with inaction). One thing I use to help myself get going is the 5 second rule. If you have a task at hand, you must start on it within 5 seconds of realizing the task or your chances of completing the task are greatly diminished.

He pretty much says success is in the doing....that's the catalyst for change. Choice, not chance. We all have the chance to become successful and you can set out to do anything you choose to do....but the first thing we must do is choose to get motivated and then go out and DO the thing you want for people to remember you by....the evidence that you came and touched this reality. It's said the uncommitted life is not worth living. I try to listen to these videos while i'm doing the thing I need to do. If you got the time to listen to them, use that time to start cleaning or working out. Excellence is a daily habit so you can start by getting control of the smallest things of your life. You build a skyscraper the same way you eat an elephant....piece by piece and bite by bite. So just start at step 1 and choose to get up and do it and then recognize that it's just going to be a series of these steps and be proud of the progress that you have made. Remind yourself the reason why you started what you are doing everyday. Mine is easy man, it's my daughter. She is 5 months old and I get to see her smile everyday. What's your reason to start ?

I've been listening to motivation videos for a while now and they've taught me a lot and I've been working to shape my mindset for success. But when I first listened to one of these Joe Rogan videos, it really opened my eyes and my mind even more. I love how he just tells it how it is. Like one friend talking to another. No fancy speeches, no motivating background music. Just a guy, who's been there, done that and understands what it takes to be happy and successfull in life. Just telling it to you straight. Plus the things he says just make so much sense and I'm able to relate it to my own life, which really helps to see the big picture.

Joe has been one of many inspirations in my life. I started doing stand up comedy when I was 18 and started a podcast when I was 19, and it was really tough in the beginning. Overtime though I kept working and improving, and now I’m 21 and an opening act at multiple clubs in Florida, and my podcast has a small amount of consistent listeners. Sometimes I fool myself that I’m not doing enough and that I’m not improving, but based on what my peers tell me I know that I have taken huge steps towards where I want to be since I started when I was 18. I’m beyond thankful for all of the amazing influences I’ve had in my life. Additionally, I’m about commission as an officer in the United States Air Force and I am beyond happy that all the work I’ve put into that since I was 18 is finally rewarding me. I have never met Joe, but man if I meet him I have a lot to thank him for. He’s been a huge influence in my life for a while now.

So many stories. I asked him: "Art(hur)....with all the professional athletes you have spent time with and interviewed, what is the overlapping quality that they all seem to have?" He took just a second to ponder.... "They never give up. Even when they are behind, they believe that every next shot, quarter, round or throw will be the best of their career and they work at it tirelessly. That is the spirit of a Champion" Let that be your motivation no matter how late in the game you start.

The instructors voice is very soothing and pleasant to listen to. I am easily able to sit successfully through the entire CD, and for quite some time after. Joe Rogan, have heard you say many times that you dont read comments, but i hope this one somehow gets to you, whether a friend of your or publicist or somebody reads this and gets it to you or not. I am a big fan and i enjoy your podcasts and videos, i do a ton of driving so I listen to you frequently. I am only halfway through this video and you have lit a fire under my ass. I am an addict and i struggle pretty bad from time to time wanting to use again or put myself in bad situations that come with the lifestyle. I used to be a great athlete in combat sports (wrestling and 'savage grappling') but over the years i have gotten lazy and strayed away. The crazy thing is, is when I'm in the habbit of going to my classes I feel so much better physically and more mentally stable. I am in a great job as the lead of my shop with excelent chances to rise higher in my field and make my company into one hell of a career. I have been slacking with everything in my life. As far as taking care of my health, staying in a positive headspace, working out, and even just getting to work on time. I have had a hunger to improve my life and this is the kick in the ass I needed. His name has slipped my mind but the old school body builder you had on your podcast lived by making a list of goals anf I am going to do that. I am tired of being unsatisfied, but I realize that its all on me and nobody else. I am going to choose to make my life what i want it to be. Thank you very much Joe Rogan.

Don't blame your father. it wasn't his job to be your peer or your teacher. That might sound counter-intuitive but it's true. Parents need to provide certain things for their children and they do not include lecturing them which is what you are listening to right now. Joe Rogan is giving you a tongue lashing and you love it. You'd never hear that from your own father. That's the way nature made children and parents. This works for you because Joe Rogan is *not* your father. Best wishes.

No doubt we need more inspirational people like Joe. Look at the world we live in. It’s depressing how people depend on mood enhancing drugs especially when they are abused for lack of DISCIPLINE, as Joe speaks of. Enjoy life. Quit complaining and be appreciative of the joy in life as simple or complex it may be.
