I don’t think he would lose but he definitely wouldn’t dominate as much. Izzy imo has fought the much more well rounded fighters and ones Anderson would have struggled tremendously with. I do think prime Silva probably beats Izzy though but who the hell can say for sure. 99% of silva’s success was mentally defeating fighters before they ever got in the cage - same with Fedor and Jon Jones

Nah they should always do „best of 5“ for title matches so we end up in a Moreno - Figgy loop. 😋 So annoying. Even though Alex knocked him out I agree with the rematch as Izzy had a couple of title defenses. But not now, especially how they turned DDP down and mocking him for not taking the fight because of an injury.

What really blew my mind was how Well Sean's defense made Izzy's striking unsuccessful & unable to land any flush strikes. I was surprised that izzy didn't make any adjustments & approach things differently/change things up, anything, but Izzy has sorta been stuck in this same fighting approach & it's totally opposite from his style bender name and in my opinion that's the way izzy will find success again is if he reconnects to his Style diversity roots. Utilize all weapons, try whatever unfolds in a fight instead of just sticking to a structured "gameplan" idk... That's just what it seems from the outside looking in.. best of wishes to each guy.

The immediate rematch does NOT make sense, in any way except for money. Izzy needs a break and time to recover, he's been fighting top level dudes almost nonstop for years now. On top of that, he's lost the belt twice this year, and lost 2 out of 3 of his last fights. It's time to let some fresh blood and newer guys who have earned a shot at it get a chance.

This man is just coming off of one of the biggest victories of his career in the same year only a few months back, not only did he barley get time to rest after fighting high level fighters every few months, but he also was gearing up to fight DDP before Sean, a fighter trained by Alex/Izzy's biggest opponent stepped in. I agree his performance wasn't good, but the man is a warrior. Jumping into a training camp directly after the Alex fight is insane.

Izzy got figured out, plain and simple. Sean did his home work and executed his game plan with flying colours. when someone is at the top long enough eventually they get figured, how long that takes depends on how good you are, we saw it with Silva, Ronda, and even GSP when he almost lost to hendricks. Perera was the first to put the blueprint out there on how to beat Izzy, and moving forward Izzy must make some serious adjustments and drastic changes to his style or else he will fall hard.

GSP fought Hendricks who was juiced to the gills in that fight. Given enough time all these fighters get their game found out and get beaten. Adesanya can't fight off his heels and under the constant pressure that Strickland put on him. Too many other fighters like Costa gave Adesanya too much room to move in and out at will which cost him the fight and Adesanya will not win fights that are taken to the mat. He is not a grappler and his opponents will find the holes in his game and exploit them from now on.

Izzy knew that Sean showed up more than he expected and Izzy knew he didn't have a great fight. He got beat. It'll be interesting to see if Izzy can find it again or if this takes his belief.

Issy overlooked Sean thought he and was unprepared for a highly focused, patient, Sean. Great fight camp and plan for Sean's team. I love Izzy but gotta give respect to the new champ he put in the work and took the belt. Issy by rights should get rematch if wanted. Would love to see how he adapts

95% of people thought izzy was going to beat sean (proven by the betting line) and he still lost. so for you to say that YOU KNOW WITH 100% CERTAINTY who would win between silva and izzy...is insane. people like you are an embarrassment to life. you don't know, nobody knows, just like the outcome of sean vs izzy. i bet you you talk a whole bunch of shit on instagram because you just cant help yourself.

Fr Izzy lost Rob in their 2nd fight and ran away in so many fights... Anderson Silva had 9 title defenses in a row and knocked out every opponent in crazy fashion and Anderson was not even oversized like Izzy. Izzy has such a big Advantage because hes like the biggest Middleweight ever 6'4 80 inch reach lol he can keep all his opponents at range.. Anderson was normally sized.. Also Izzy is only Champion because the Middleweight division has beem the worst division in the UFC for years now.. Izzy never even faced 1 good grappler/wrestler its sad Middleweight is full of cans for years now Only now with Khamzat, Dricus and Bo Nickal actua really good fighters and World class Wrestlers are coming into 185 they all would have ragdolled the Last Dog Molester 😂😂
