So now all of you experts tell me why did he outsmart striking wise a guy like Edson and let his chin up against Al. People should be grateful that he put on a show for us all to watch when the night could've ended very early to Al and then the only great fight we had was Rose vs Joanna.

Yes! I was trained in Judo. My Sensei (golden glove winner and 4th degree black belt) wouldn't give me a new belt because my mom wouldn't let me go to tournaments. When I asked him what he thought I was. Purple belt. After having been in some bar fights against guys way bigger than me..... My training kicked in and I walked away basically unscathed. Knowledge and skills get more done than talk, size and paper ceds when the shit hits the fan.

Joe Rogan was just trying to keep Khabib humble. Even Khabib's corner was angry he was "playing around" by keeping it standing and not relentlessly going for takedowns in the 3rd and 4th. Al Iaquinta's game plan was working, by baiting jabs, holding his arms down for takedown defense, and waiting for Khabib to open up for a hail mary punch. Khabib still managed to play it safe and avoid a hard hit from Iaquinta by constantly jabing and not following through.

I'm still kind of shocked that this many people are criticizing Joe Rogan, and all of them admit that Joe was correct in pointing out that Khabib's technique of backing up straight with his chin in the air is incorrect and begging to get tagged by the right set of hands. Chael even admits it at the end of the video, but yet that doesn't bleed into his opinion about the rest?

It’s also good advice from rogan, to be blunt “you can’t fight the guy the just rinsed Eddie Alvarez, Eddie Alvarez is the toughest guy this sports ever seen until he lost the belt”, Al seems like a fantastic fighter, not getting the credit he deserves, maybe Al should fight Eddie, maybe that’s a fight, I think Al deserves a chance to earn another shot, but I don’t think he’s as tough as Eddie, that’s my gut feeling

I get what Chael is saying, but Joe is there to keep the audience engaged and informed from a technical standpoint. He’s not a cheerleader or the main commentator with the Marv Albert or Mike Goldberg voice. Joe is in the John Madden position. He gave the viewers his opinion. If he didn’t understand what Khabib was up to, then fine, that shows how cryptic Khabib’s strategy was, which works in his favor. But Joe did what he was paid to do. No apology or further issue necessary.

Khabib is a nice guy. He’s a killer but a nice guy. Look at Barbosa fight. He respects the guys so he can beat them without destroying them. Against Connor he’s not going to be nice. That said he does need to focus on a few striking techniques. Jab is better but he doesn’t turn on his punches. A few things and he’s unstoppable.

I think that for conor he's gonna make it an extra slow death. Just gonna hold him down and just smesh for 25 whole minutes

Man Sh!t unstoppable? Uh he couldn't finish a simple rnc everytime al gave up his back. Not to mention against someone like Tony or even Ortega who are comfortable on their back he does leave himself open for submissions. Standing he only needs to focus on a little? To be good yeah maybe but not to the level of elite strikers like Conor. Conor would light him up standing and closing the gap on Conor isn't as easy as everyone seems to act. Eddie couldn't get in on him and Eddie is an elite fighter. Khabib leaves his chin too high and hands too low to just rush in on Conor. Khabib is amazing and it's be the biggest fight in history of ufc but let's not act like khabib is unstoppable after a few striking tweaks

Ryker Carlin Agreed. Though I’m not saying he can be an elite striker. I come from boxing and teach boxing/kickboxing and I know as well as anyone elite striking is just not in the cards for some people. There is something about movement that limits people. Same with power and missing. The level of Connor’s movement and striking is the level of Khabib’s grappling. He’s position over submission guy though. I’m a huge Connor fan for his skills alone but wrestling is the base of the MMA triangle and Khabib’s is best. If he does face Connor he needs definite striking help or he will get knocked out. It’s a different level. Who beats up Eddie like that. Personally I want to see Khabib vs Gaethje. Leg kicks, wrestle his ass off, doesn’t stop. Best fight we never see.

Man Sh!t I'd agree with that. Justin vs khabib would be amazing given how good Justins wrestling is. Top 5 in the nation during his collegiate days, if only he'd go back to being that monster wrestler instead of just being a brawler. I think Conors movement is a problem for khabib but we have limited evidence of Conor vs wrestlers to say what he can do. I personally wanna see Kevin Lee vs khabib or Woodley khabib

Ryker Carlin Lee missing weight won’t help him get the chance. If he has the gas tank he’d be a problem just by athleticism. I think Connor can absolutely beat Khabib by surprising him with speed and his accuracy. Just like Eddie. Woodley is a problem. I just don’t see Khabib taking him down. Woodley is a beast for gameplan

Khabib won a world championship against someone who isn't a world contender, not even top 10 rank. Joe is emotionally and intellectually honest about what he thinks and feels. He noticed that Khabib's take-down could be stopped, and once that game was shut down, massive holes in his stand-up became pronounced. He, like many of us, was gauging how Khabib would have done against Tony, or Connor. If they can stop his take-down, game over. Even for a couple rounds. Him not finishing that fight, was an upset

Joe Rogan was ultra critical of Khabib because he is ultra biased against him. Eddie "flat earth" Bravo is Tony Ferguson's coach.

18sydeways I don't believe that. Joe is a hater on Bravo . Two faced. Joe is envious of Bravo. Look into it.

Agreed Chael. Rogan is a legendary non fighter in MMA. but he's merely a spectator, and not a fighter.

Think how we did not see Khabib in standup much until now and in the 3/4 rounds his left was left exposed, no harm was done though, so could be a neat attempt to give a reason for Connor fight hype
