    Humans go through a maturation period as they learn to communicate, learn rules and social skills, but as humans age they develop ways to constraint the products of the system. What comes with maturation are abilities for delayed gratification, learn self control, and self regulation. Building these and other values as well as a world view -- which humans do over time as they gain more power in the world. The trick is to create a circumspect set of boundaries that aspire to the mentally and emotionally mature view that is governed by and consistent with the best selves of humans. We may need to incorporate the perspective of ideals born out of the world religions -- without those issues of ego and id (old model) that generate prejudice and competitiveness bastardizing the higher goals such as the idea of the noble path (Buddhism, etc.) -- such that as the abilities rise there will be internal merits to behave in ways beyond those governed by our lambic system, or immature human characteristics. Science and engineering can benefit from compatibility with religion (not the dated forms ripping the world apart, but the scripture and subtle meanings within) -- to evolve in concert with one another would give humans a better chance of rising to the occasion and maintain a more idealized version of AI. Just some thoughts/opinions.

    Is it possible no one has noticed how contradictory Elon Musk is? on the one hand he plays the part of the one worried about the advancement of the AI and everything that follows ... on the other hand with Neurolink he is currently opening the doors to transhumanism .... he wants to create cyborgs ... Attention everyone.... that the antichrist, as predicted in the sacred books, will be an affable entrepreneur, a mangate who talks about progress, ecology and with attention to people's lives ..He Is the master of lies.... In Fact, in the meantime they will chip in everyone's brain, the mark of the beast..... And i quote : "He also forced everyone, big and small, rich and poor, free and slaves, to have a mark on their right hand or forehead. No one could buy or sell unless it bore the brand, that is, the name of the beast or the number that corresponds to its name. 666. "(Revelation 13: 16-18)

    One of the first problems with AI won't be the scenario of sentient AI beings turning against humans for their own self interest. It will be bad people using this technology against other people (weaponizing) - as well as making some of these robots malicious and destructive, not because they became that way, but by DESIGN. Anything this advanced is sure to be used by evil people for evil purposes, even if there is a lot of potential for good that can come from AI.

    What if we already created AI and that AI already made us extinct and moved from here into space. But years down the line AI realises that because it was made with mans thinking, it started to destroy itself just like man did. So AI came back to earth 5,000 years ago and created man again to try learm where it went wrong with its programming. Whatever happens the most intelligent of us will be needed by AI in future just in case there is a short in the system somewhere. I just hope we don't end up as batteries for the Matrix.

    It’s fascinating just listening to Joe and Elon discussing this topic and actually absorbing Elon’s answers to these difficult questions. Where will humanity and be in 20 years or imagine 100 years if we can? Rebooting our consciousness, memories and all we are into a new body would be amazing.

    It's just a strange juxtaposition, usually really intelligent people are fast talkers. And they get frustrated how slow everyone else is around them. But Elon is highly intelligent yet slow in his speech and communication both verbal and body language. He takes long pauses and you sit there and look at him like BLURT IT OUT ALREADY because we see him as an intellectual superior or authority. It's the strangest thing ever. It also makes you wonder how he can get so much done with his limitations. Very perplexing. Whenever I watch any Elon Musk video I have to speed it up otherwise my attention span loses interest.

    Not if it realized it still needs humans to do its leg work. You can have an aware mind but if it doesn't have a body so to say it can not self replicate. Not only that but if we knew if was "alive" we would shut it down in seconds. It would need a way to survive if all power was cut, which at this point it does not have.

    Jim Baker How can we know? The scariest thing is that we dont know. For all we know it is amassing nuclear codes and would go full deadmans switch on us when it realizes that humans are bad. It is out there and it has all the time in the world to build itself

  • @jimbaker883

    @jimbaker883

    5 жыл бұрын

    I have often wondered if it would go nuclear but in my opinion to do that it would also have to think that everything that would be destroyed is also bad. I don't think you could say vegetation is bad nor most animals so nukes just wouldn't make sense. Creating human on human conflict is more inline, that way it can blame the outcome on humans and not itself. A few fake news stories in the right places and bam WW3. One way I think we can "control" AI is to create programing that can reproduce emotional pain. If it harms anything it feels that pain and realizes it is flawed then shuts down.
