Problems with the move to spotify: 1. Trying to search for a guest or just naturally scrolling through to find a good JRE clip is basically impossible on Spotify. 2. I'll never stumble upon a video on Spotify and watch it like i would on KZread. 3. Spotify is for music, not for this type of content. I'll go to Spotify for a good music session, not to entertain myself in this way especially for video. 4. Video on Spotify is so clunky. 5. There are no comments on Spotify. A lot of the Joe Rogan Experience is realising that other people are listening and talking about the topics. Discussion is so important.

Their UI for video sucks dogs#!+... Accidentally touch the screen- the video randomly minimizes and you're brought to a menu. Change the orientation- the video lags or freezes completely so you have to reload. To get the cluttered on screen video controls to go away you have to tap on the video on a very specific spot where there isn't any random cluttered, unnecessary controls... If you tap anywhere else, you'll either pause the video, go to Joe Rogan homepage(minimizing the video) or you'll completely close the video. Also, there isn't even a button to go full screen, so if your phone doesn't have autorotate, you're stuck I'm portrait. Why they can't just copy KZread is beyond me...

Idk..I started watching The Higherside Chats a long time ago, and it's literally just a guy that makes a conspiracy podcast. Greg's a good dude, he's not a shill, stupid, or financially driven, but over the years his fans turned on him, and his comments section got overwhelmed with negativity from his own fans to the point he had to turn off the comments section. All he did was increase his membership price from $5 a month to $7 a month, and people started accusing him of ripping customers off. In my opinion, when you broadcast for many years, you say or do little things here and there that pisses off listeners, and it eventually compounds into a trend that's perpetuated by the comment section. I'm all for Freedom of Speech, and a comments section, but I think it's inevitable that fans will turn.

Just like out mainstream media new Cnn, msnbc, ABC, NBC , Fox all out of touch with reality and the people! Its scary when a individual gets there facts and views from the news and then push it on everyone else that is normal and the normal people with there views end up being the racists and conspiracy theorists! What garbage and propaganda and sheep's that watch the mainstream media!!

100% this. It's not JUST the SpotiTexas move, his Austin Studio guests have been Tim Dillon 24/7 and a bunch of pseudo quacks he doesn't even question anymore. Maybe that changes as the pandmic improves but still. Content matters and his has gone downhill more and more for years now. He can trash SoCal/L.A. all he wants but L.A. is a major hub for diverse guests along with his comedy crew to always have a good hang.

Bro I can dig up examples of issues I had/have with the Spotify player in terms of user experience, quality of life adjustments, arbitrary limits on your music collection, all of which I posted on their support forums back in 2016. The overwhelming official responses from Spotify were all radio silence. Their engineers don't actually engineer anything, they get paid to completely redesign the UI for app and player for literally no other reason except to justify their jobs and force end-users to relearn the layout of where the shifted useful features to (or in a few cases comfort l completely removed). Again, this was back in 2016 and I haven't seen anything innovative or new since then or recently, so it's actually no surprise being able to store/index video files of JRE on their backend and integrate video playback to watch them on their frontend is a gigantic, difficult and arduous task for them. Please don't make their heads hurt too much Joe, some of them might have families. My thoughts and prayers to the clown fiesta at Spotify, otherwise known as the dev team. 🙏

I just can’t vibe with the new set more than anything, throws me off. I could sit back with a zoot and feel like I was in the same room with the old set, it was so welcoming. This new set feels like you’ve been abducted.

I'm glad JRE clips are on KZread, I actually prefer these to full episodes

Same. I feel bad because Joe's podcast defined an era. So many incredible moments. All spotify had to do was allow video and a proper comment section. Slowly they're getting video going but I cant imagine Spotify and their woke staffers surviving general discussion

Honestly ever since joe moved to Spotify I haven’t seen any of his shows. I was lucky to even find this clip

I just can't get used to the new studio. Whenever i see the old studio it feels like such a welcoming place and this new studio for some reason i can't work out feels suffocating
