The city didnt like him. The ownership group in atlanta split because of his contracts here. The media crucified him. He was never thought of woth the greats even though he really just needed in my opi ion better coaching and lebron to not exist during the hawks era. Very closely couldve had a dynasty

One of my former favorite KZreadrs said that this guy is most likely gonna be forgotten in 20 years. Thank you for a video like this to display how excellent of a career Joe Johnson had. He deserves strong consideration for the Hall of Fame.

after Tmac went down...i saw this guy as 2nd to kobe as a wing/slashing iso playing Force leaguewide. KD had his size/dribble pull up to his advantage. ISO joe broke guys/teams down. Knew when to get to the body etc. Those Teague, Johnson, Smith days. Were definitely something My favorite team from the east in that era for their style/pace/approach. You see a lot of the mental/aspects of the game with their tape/playoff appearances. 1:15 murder on the court XD. The shot over beal/wall is probably one of my favorite plays of his. Dude was ice cold.

I’m a bron fan and this is spot on. A bit less athleticis, speed, and power obviously. But if you put Joe Johnson’s clutch/smoothness in bron he would be the no doubt best player of all time.
