Oh congratulations on finding one of my most favourite artists in the world. Love, love LOVE Jo Jackson! Oh and love his sarcasm, that's what this song is, total sarcasm.
Joe Jackson's Kinda Kute is one of my favorites that isn't talked about as much. Great song though.
"This bass is everything". He's Graham Maby who is as good as they come.
Love all of Joe's old stuff, I toured with them back in the day, the drummer dave Houghton brought me up from eight years old so I got to know the band very very well ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Joe Jackson is one of my favorite composers, songwriters & singers, but what impresses me most is his knack for placing the perfect musician for each note of every song.
Yes Graham Maby on bass is the groove master and played on many Jackson albums. Check out, Got the Time ,from the same lp. Cheers
Check out "You Can't Get What You Want". There's a live performance that's great 👍
More Joe Jackson? Anything and everything from the "Look Sharp!" album. Literally every song on it is great. Try "Pretty Girls" or "Happy Loving Couples"
Just a pure "drop the needle on any song" album. I'm The Man was the shit too. Like his whole catalog, but those first 2 albums will always hold a special place in my heart.

I remember hearing these songs of his back in the day and being somewhat familiar with his work. But this sounds very fresh and crisp today. His band here definitely had a snap to their playing.
I really love all these Joe Jackson reactions! Takes me back a few years. Appreciate all you do Jamel!
Hi Jamel! I just went back through watching your SRV reactions agggggain 🤣 & holy cow! You've missed MY favorite performance ever & one of his most popular! It's been reacted to a lot! You'll LOVE it! "Life Without You" (LIVE at Capitol Theater) -He plays with a different body part than you've ever seen, I think! -His vocals are beautifully sexy -He stops to speak to the audience about a subject close to your heart. Being a good human. -He wrote it for a friend that past I'd be HONORED if you'd check it out! I'd love to see your reaction. ❤🙏🏻
GOOD TO SEE YOU DO SOME ( J.J. ) AGAIN BEEN A WHILE I REMEMBER OVER A YEAR AGO YOU WOULD DO SOME REACTION IN THE RESTROOM SO IT'S GREAT TO HEAR HIS SOUND AGAIN ON THE CHANNEL THANKS JAMEL_AKA_JAMAL ✌🏼& LO💚E MY BROTHER
LOVE Joe Jackson! Sunday Papers is from the amazing..Look Sharp..album! Love it! ♥️♥️🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦
Man! You are on a Joe Jackson tear! I love it!! Go man, go!
Honestly, you could do every song on the Look Sharp album. It's an absolute classic.
As everybody else has said...Im the man" ...now thats a bass line
😁😁 more Joe! Yes!
Love this. I haven’t heard Joe Jackson in soooo long. “Pretty Boys” is a good one, too.
JOE JACKSON "LOOK SHARP"..NUFF SAID.
One of my favorite JJ songs... loved this album when it came out... it raised the bar for new wave music.
Stripped back pop-rock at its finest. In my early 20s when this material came out, was a joy to be alive when music like this was around.
So glad you did this one! All the instruments are rocking on it. Bass is sublime, but the guitar and drums are great too and then that harmonica at the end!
It's all bout that crunchy bass! This album was a "new wave" classic!
Look Sharp! Another great one. A little more complicated song structure but that same delicious bass. You Can't Get What You Want is another tune with a delicious groove.
Graham Maby on bass is stellar. Been said before, I bet, but two years after still true and worth repeating. Jamel you're the man!
Joe Jackson rocks!
Enjoy going down the JJ rabbit hole. Such a great catalog.
Listened to this album riding around yesterday. Never gets old and great driving tunes.
Joe Jackson's "Big World" L.P. is EPIC!!!

Do you have it on vinyl? I don't know if this is still the case, but the original vinyl was in between a single and double album: it was two discs, the second of which only had music on one side, the second being blank!
Great stuff, as always. Love this and "Is She Really Going Out with Him?" - a well as your reaction to it. 🤣 No particular recommendations, other than "Everything." 😁
The Sunday Papers were the way a lot of the people got news in the 50's and 60's, they'd finally be home for the weekend and catch up on things Sunday morning in the (5 lb.) newspaper.
Love all the Joe Jackson stuff, such a good musician. The song 'Fit' is an interesting one to react to, that and 'Real Men', both important songs, especially for the time.
A portent of things to come! Evening news , Sunday paper , now , the internet.
Jamal...Rush AND Joe Jackson? YES! Graham Navy is a monster bass player with a tremendous sense of melody. He and Geddy are my favorites.
You're really keeping good music alive! Do the rest of the album too please 🙏🏻
Pretty much anything from I’m the Man, Look Sharp, and Jumpin’ Jive is worth the time
Your analysis right out of the gate is spot on!!
Saw him live in the ‘80’s. Fantastic concert.

I saw him in 81 I think. He was sick with the flu and sat on a stool for the concert and was very unpleasant.

Love. This. Song. SO MUCH!
Great reaction! Glad you are diggin’ Joe Jackson! I saw him live at The Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia in 1990! You have to get a listen to (Do the) Instant Mash!
'One More Time' is my personal fav and the Bass is Even Better! That and 'Got the Time?' are a couple big boppers on this album you need to hear.
Love your comments as always. He is amazing and his band as well. Along with Elvis Costello got me through this period of music.check out all of Joe's big world album
Try You Can't Get What You Want (Till You Know What You Want) live version for a different side of Joe Jackson. Very Motown inspired groove.
Glad you found Joe - such a good musician/songwriter/singer. This is my favorite Joe song.
Love your channel and I like your spirit. Keep up the jams.
Check out "Got The Time" off the same album....best bass line ever

Mel! 🙏
Back in the olden days before internet the Sunday Newspaper came (if subscribed) to your door. In it all kinds of wondrous information. This song is simply an homage to that. His mother sits at home at gets all the news and information from the Sunday Papers. Imagine a whole song not about Love or f*cking.
watching form Plymouth, Michigan. Blessings and peace.
There wasn't any internet back then....the news papers is where we found most everything.
Graham Maby plays the lead instrument on bass. He and Jackson have stuck together over the years.
In England the Sunday papers are the ones that only come out weekly, the equivalent of The National Enquirer, etc here.
Love JJ. Legend
YAY!! You did this great song!! Great vocals and amazing bass guitar. Always thought the chorus sounded a bit like The Beatles. Now please do "Got The Time." 😈
The best thing about Joe Jackson is that...this man was/is the KING of writing a sarcastic song. He has a song on this album called "Fools In Love" and its sooo wonderfully sarcastic. You should check that one out too.

At last some Joe Jackson reactions. He is such a great composer lyricist and musician. Totally underrated, imho.
In case you haven’t figured it out, this whole album is great! What a debut from one of my absolute favorite artists. I see lots of the comments on here are praising his first two albums and rightly so, but so much of his stuff that follows is equally impressive. A true musical genius. Great albums include Beat Crazy, Big World, Night and Day, Blaze of Glory, Laughter and Lust, 4, and Joe Jackson’s Jumpin’ Jive.
The whole Look Sharp album is great. He also did a cover of a Cab Calloway song Jumping Jive!!!
Let's have the amazing Fools in Love. More great bass
As mentioned below...please try some Elvis Costello. He's quite brilliant. You might want to start out with early gems like 'Pump it Up' ...but his entire catalogue of work is genius, and ever changing. He started in the late 70's and is still going strong.
He would usually cover a couple Steely Dan songs during his shows and put his own touch to it, and they always would sound great, not an easy thing to do. Joe is the man. Hey bro next song from J.J. Should be You can’t get what you want till you know what you want. Killer bass and horns.
Joe Jackson!!! Sooo many great songs to dig into. His rhythm section is always stellar. These should get you started. Look Sharp Stepping Out I’m the Man Night and Day Everything Gives You Cancer Beat Crazy Fools In Love You Can’t Get What You Want Different for Girls
that first joe jackson album was killer! no filler there at all
This song is groove for all tastes
Long before the internet Jamel. When people only heard about stuff through the newspaper or broadcast news.
How have you gone on this Joe Jackson trip and done "I'm The Man"?
Check out the English Beat sometime. Start with "I Confess" or, for something really fast and hard-hitting, "Mirror in the Bathroom." Classic English Ska/Rock, the same place that Joe Jackson came out of. But JJ went in all kinds of other directions over his career.
The Sunday papers in the UK back then (and maybe now?) were tabloid style papers, with a lot of celebrity gossip etc. This is Joe at his sarcastic best. And yeah - that bass. Graham Mabe was a major part of Joe's sound for years.
In the UK the Sunday newspaper would be where all the celebrity scandals would be fed to the masses.
Joe Jackson’s first 2 records are ALL ABOUT THE BASS
I do so miss my giant Sunday Paper!
Best album to come out of the "New Wave".....IMO 💯❤
