You're smiling through the whole song. That's what everyone does when they hear this :-)
One of my favorite 80's songs!!!!
He is one of the most talented in popular music- multi instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, singer, and band leader- his music shows influences of rock, new wave, jazz etc- Real Men is a unique song!
This came out the summer I turned 14, and made me wish for all those things that were just out of reach, wanting to be older, to be stepping out. Wishing time away the way we do when we are young and aching to grow up. Makes me smile in bittersweet nostalgia that 1982 is nearly 40 years back in the past.
One of my all time favorite 80s tunes.
Pure 80's...I absolutely love this song.
Following Joe Jackson's journey is amazing... from the earlier works to the present... what a composer
I like this song. It has a day-dreamy feel. 😁
My jam! This song always makes me happy. Love that piano!
"You Can't Get What You Want (Till You Know What You Want" is another great song by Joe Jackson.

The sax riffs in that one are utter perfection
Literally my favorite song from the 80's. I've loved it since I first heard it when I was 7 years old (1982). I have lots of favorites from the 80's but there's something about this song that just always makes me feel happy. ❤️
As a young child, I was truly obsessed with this song 🙌🏻

No, Joe Jackson certainly is NOT underrated. Millions of people love his music. What more do you want?
Only song of his I know but it's one of my favorite songs. Find myself singing/humming it all the time. Gotta once again shout out GTA: Vice City because that game really put me onto some great music and artists I'd have likely never given a chance to--Joe Jackson, Spandau Ballet, Psychedelic Furs. Even made me a fan of Hall and Oates, who my mom had me hating back in the day lol.
I love Joe Jackson. You should try "It's Different for Girls" "Sunday Papers" and "Breaking Us in Two"!!!!

The video was shot in one night in the St. Regis Hotel, New York City in August, 1982. The same time the single was released. Just for a moment I thought the house keeper was a young Julia Roberts.

Love Joe Jackson, I would suggest also a more hidden gem of his, "I'm the Man"
One of the definitive MTV classics of the 80s...when this song was popular MTV played this video almost every hour of the day, you just had to go to your local record store and buy the 45...I still have mine, and it's been 38 long years ago...lol...the song is magical and the video itself is even more of Joe's own personal love letter to the New York Nightlife in the early 80s...everything is captured beautifully, and everybody in the video is looking their most fabulous, even the sweet maid who can only imagine herself in the dress of the woman out on the town with her man...5th grade memories right here for me! 🤟🏿😎🎵🎶
Me and friends going out on Friday nights to the clubs.....such great memories...
"Is She Really Going Out with Him?", "Sunday Papers", "I'm The Man."
Ahh, remember when these tunes were in the regular rotation on radio stations?
One of the best periods of my life was when this (as an LP) was just out. Many happy hours with friends, and this was nearly a theme song.
One of my favorite songs growing up as a kid🥰🥰
This was the 80's!!! I used to hang out with some great friends and all our fast cars, cruising around, seeing the sight and hearing the sounds!! Now, no one leave the house!!!
Big favorite of mine from that era.
joe jackson " is she really going out with him "
I still listen to this song. Loved growing up in the 80s.
Loved this when I was a kid. Takes me back to younger days and the early years of MTV. I don’t really know what genre of music this song is but the way Joe Jackson sings it, it sounds like new wave meets punk. Very unique song. It was very different from everything else that was on the radio and MTV in the early 80’s.
When you paused & mentioned "step out & have some fun", I am not sure that you noticed MAID WAS DAYDREAMING of the Dancing Date......... but, I think you picked up on that towards the end of video. I always loved that maid & singer were together in Borrowing the "good life" for a little bit.
Awwww!! I LOVE this song and it’s still on my playlists today. Reminds me of tripping the streets of Georgetown and Adams Morgan (DC) in early 80s. That rhythmic beat so cool. The lyrics so lovely. I’ve been waiting for someone to discover Joe Jackson. So happy you found this timeless gem. ❤️
I love this music video...so stylish and classy☺
I never really squared the upbeat lyrics with the downbeat minor chord arrangements of this song. Truly sweet and sour. And very, very well executed. Joe Jackson was so under appreciated.
Cute reaction ! Right on the money IMHO ! Loved it ! My buddy is the guitar player with the touring band !
Great song
One of the most underrated but versatile musicians of the early 80s.
I always forget how good Joe Jackson is. Thank you for the reminder!
Pure 80s right here.
In my top 10 this tune !! Love it

this is one of the few videos that my wife liked way back then & would actively get into Joe Jackson's music. I had always thought of this as a "guy's song", meaning that it was how a guy wants to give the girl All the World, and More... then I have noticed female names on the reactions to it, & the Vevo & MTV videos of his music.

"It's Different for Girls "
The maid & the pianist were living on the crumbs of the wealthy couple. He was writing music on the grand piano & the maid was dancing in the ball gown. They were stealing.
Smells like the 80s!!!! I loved the groove of this song!
This is one of my favorite's from the 80s!! I remember watching this on MTV when I was younger. Keep the 80s going! You should check out some Madonna from the 80s! Guarantee to love it!👍
This is the first Music Video I ever saw back in 1982. Only 3 channels on the TV back then. Turned me on to Popular Music. Before this Just CountryMusic on Parents radio
Your reaction to this beautiful dong was fabulous, I’m so glad that you like it x
I remember this song hit number one on the radio show "American Top 40 Countdown". It was up there a few good weeks until displaced by another song.

As I mentioned on your reaction to "Breaking Us In Two" I believe this is the same couple who took a new approach to their relationship and found a way to enjoy each other again.
Been searching for this song for over 30 years.
Just an FYI, if you didn't know, JAckson played all the instruments on this recording.
"Happy Loving Couples", "Fools in Love", "Kinda Kute","Beat Crazy"
Great song. Thanks for reacting!
Joe Jackson for a great Tuxedo Junction and Jumpin'Jive.
One of my first favorite songs and videos on MTV. Gen X'ers were lucky.
One of my fave songs of all time!
This is a perfect "end of quarantine" song. Joe Jackson's greatest lyrics is "Won't You Be My Number 2" Please review that one.
My get ready to go out song back in the day....still love it.

i think your description is what Joe Jackson was thinking of. Every longtime needs a night like that out or in.
Great song and great artist.
This song is so smooth....flows.....love it, love it, love it
Happy 66th Birthday, Joe Jackson...
Summer 82 saw him live at the Waikiki Shell which is a giant stage shaped like a shell open air Amphitheater with seats and a lawn this venue is set in the heart of Waikiki. It was Joe and an entire band complete with horns imagine seeing this performance with a moonlit Diamond Head as your backdrop. From what I remember it was a truly magical evening.
I first seen this video on MTV back in the eighties great song
Beautiful early 80s New Wave classic song
love this tune
This is one of my most favorite songs ❤
I picture it as stepping outside your life. Others have picked up on the maid dreaming of the glamorous life while dancing with the woman's dress, but Joe was doing the same thing. That wasn't his room and his piano as we see the man that was out with the glamorous woman come home while Joe hits the streets.

I have heard some say this song is about the afterlife. Not sure but an interesting take on it.

Excellent track !
best joe jackson song: You Can't Get What You Want (til you know what you want).
Joe Jackson is an incredible talent and I'm pretty sure every album he ever put out warrants listening.
I love sing, is magnífic, saludos desde Lima Perú.
Mr. Joe is an underrated 80s rock star. My view
Joe Jackson does a surprisingly great Beatles cover of Eleanor Rigby.
Love that song. I agree, confusing video... however, I noticed both the maid & Joe Johnson were “working class” living vicariously thru the rich people. Joe was on the rich guy’s piano & the maid was fixated on the rich lady’s dress... but that’s all I got.
love joe jackson seen him twice live!! You respond great to lyrics, so would you please react to 'Real Men' by Joe Jackson?
Masterpiece.
I think i was 12 when this premiered on Mtv loved it still
this was the first album I ever bought. I asked my older sister if it was cool enough, she gave me the ok so i bought it.
A real 80's classic! Love it. Didn't mean a thing to me at the time, but then I was always emotionally ignorant.
We used to say that Joe Jackson had a face made for radio.
Ahhh yes...NY in the good ole bad ole days
Love the old school New York Vibes
Joe Jackson is dope.
Joe spent a weekend in New York City. This song was based on his experience in the city.
Such an I Indic dong! I was in 7th grade and would listen to this, as I was getting ready for school!🤣
IMO this is the best song from thy 80s
The best thing about Joe Jackson? He pretty much reinvents his approach to music and genre every album.
You got there in the end babe.
Great Song.. ♠W.G.
The bass line makes it easy for this song to avoid the nostalgia that trails behind the romantic fantasy narratives often found in pop-music from early 1980's. The Kinks "Come Dancing" from 1983 springs to mind as an example of that sort of nostalgia.
Wow, that's crazy that you're reviewing Joe Jackson. This was one of his biggest hits in 1982; that's why, I know him.
