He was a very good shot-stopper for City but unfortunately for Joe he had a stinker at the Euro’s the same summer that Pep came to City and his new manager would’ve seen those performances. On top of that, Joe just isn’t a very good footballer with his feet or even cool-headed. And those are vital components that Pep expects from his goalkeepers as they’re the ones starting the teams buildup play. Look at both Ederson and Ortega for examples. Two very good goalkeepers who are naturally very calm-mannered with excellent passing abilities and off the ball movement.

Underrated Player, even as a LFC fan, Hart was class, even some new City fans won't know how good he was. Sure, with all due respect, he isn't at the highest level, but he was class. A solid keeper, and as a fan, that is all you could ask for.

Other than when he’s literally chucking the ball in his own net. Absolute disaster of a keeper. Not top level by any means. Couple of good saves here and there but he’s guaranteed to give away goals

I am a celtic fan and season ticket holder North stand 😂😂. He's absolutely nothing special at all. He is a bomb scare. Look at the rangers game goals. Look at the goals he conceded all season. All goals we have conceded because his position is way off or its his own fault with the stupid crap he does. No1 wanted him because of this. We could have got someone younger and better that's FACT

I can say from me and I’m sure most Celtic fans , thank you Joe, you’ve been an absolute star, so professional , so in tune with the club and still performing amazing. Will be sad to see him leave but wish him well and I hope we send him off with two trophies 🏆

Seeing this as he just brought us another league title and announced his retirement in just two short games is heartwrenching. Fantastic career, so glad he spent his last days with us 🍀 lucky to have him, cracking player and cracking guy.

Worked perfect under Mancini while at City, then Pellegrini came in and he lost that strong defence in front of him and his form went wobbly, earned his place back, but unfortunately he could never have adapted to Pep's play from the back style. Still, 4 golden gloves shows how mean the defensive unit he was part of was.

Personally, I think Joe was the best English keeper since seaman.

After Seaman ,England struggled hard finding a solid #1, it seemed like as soon as one made a mistake they ousted them for the next and so on and so on, I find the English media are extremely harsh on the team and players and manager when there’s a loss or mistake,

I thought Pickford was going to be a liability for England, but he's done very well for years now. He was England's best player at the last Euros. Made many world class saves.

Apology 😂 He was treated very well unfortunately he wasn't fit for purpose under pep - who always references him as a gentleman and extremely vital player for city evolving into a winning team.

Four Golden Gloves, to point that in context no one has five, shows what a top quality keeper he was at Man City and took City to sign Ederson before they found a suitable replacement. I assume it was a personality issue.

He’s had a very decent career. - England’s No1 for nearly a decade (75 Caps) - Man City’s No1 for 8 years. (348 Caps) - Won Premier League 2x - Won FA Cup 1x - Won League Cup 2x - Now Celtic’s No1 where he’s won back to back League Titles and Scottish Cups. Decent goalkeeper in his day.
