Joe Cocker - Feelin' Alright (Live-HQ)
Музыка
Joe Cocker live in concert from 1992.
Cocker is an English rock/blues singer who came to popularity in the 1960s, and is most known for his gritty voice, his idiosyncratic arm movements while performing and his cover versions of popular songs, particularly those of The Beatles. He is the recipient of several awards, including a 1983 Grammy Award for his song "Up Where We Belong", a duet which he performed with Jennifer Warnes.
"Feelin' Alright" also known as Feeling Alright is a song written by Dave Mason of the English rock band Traffic from their eponymous 1968 album, Traffic.

I'M A HANDICAP WITH A GREAT IMAGINATION AT AGE 33 AND I JUST COULDN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO SUFFER A STROKE AND SUDDENLY BE MORE CRIPPLED THAN I ALREADY AM. I KNOW IT WOULD BE TOUGH, DEPRESSING AND PAINFUL FOR JUST ABOUT ANYONE, BUT FOR ME OR EVEN SOMEONE MORE DYSFUNCTIONALLY HANDICAPPED, I SHUDDER TO THINK OF OF SUCH A NIGHTMARE. BUT THERE IS ANOTHER MUCH OLDER SONG THAT HAPILLY TRANSCENDS TO AGE. IT'S CALLED I'M GLAD I'M NOT YOUNG ANYMORE, MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT MAURICE CHEVALIER'S VERSION ON KZread. IT MIGHT MAKE YOU FEEL A BIT BETTER. AS FOR JOE COCKER, WELL, THERE'S ONLY TWO TYPES OF MUSIC IN THIS WORLD, GOOD MUSIC AND BAD MUSIC. AND ANY MUSIC THAT MAKES PEOPLE FEEL HAPPY IS GOOD MUSIC. AND JOE COCKER IS ONE OF THE GREATEST.

Wish I could give it a thousand thumbs up. Everything is going full-out, tent-revival heat and every molecule is on fire! What a great, slowed-down performance of the song... and the backup ladies are in it, every note and breath! Joe was unique in every way. RIP, Joe... and keep the party going with Leon!
I started seeing Joe in Memphis In the 60s & 70's..The music just flows out of him ❤ he expressed so much emotion his vibe just entered everyone around him The Spirit of Joe is powerful...He's an Earthquake Man.❤
This song gives me goosebumps everytime
Rest in peace Joe and thank you for all your timeless music.
RIP Joe Cocker you will be "Feelin' Alright" in heaven
One of the true originals....keep on rocking Joe!!!!!
The best screamer in the universe. And this song is unbelievable It’s sad that most in the younger generations will never even hear it. Not unless some company decides to use it in an advertisement. Unless that’s already happened in at least one country. Well, not knowing this song is a sad loss. And the song is so uplifting, played on very high volume. It’s almost spiritual. Probably because it’s pretty much Gospel.

Yes it was played in Canada back in the early2000's on a t.v commercial by the local police against drinking and driving, and way back in 1983 it was played on the saturday morning cartoon show G.I.JOE, as the end theme and the end credits thats when i was only 14 but WOW it really hit me then and i felt so alive by this song alone, feeling alright.🤪🤪🤪👍🥺😎😎😎

It must be so hard. My mother didn't recognize me for bthe last week she was alive & I was crushed. I am stiill ashamed of myself. You cheer me by giving me hope that ii can be a better person by learning from people like you. Like Ms. Polito, I think of you when I hear the song. I share her hope that you are also being helped. I call it the "airplane rule.." Parents are supposed to put on their air masks first before helping their children. You are so strong & have inspired so many (If a few people post, lots more are silently reading.) If you let someone help upyou, you're really just letting them return a favor. Thank you.

+Susan Garvin I am doing the best I can for as long as possible. I have come to understand that I cannot do this alone for the long run and will need help. What struck me about this song was the ironic lyric "Before someone comes along and takes my place. With a different name and yes a different face". A year ago my wife decided "her husband (that's me) left her" and he was replaced by a caregiver who has a different face and has a different name... of course that is still me. It is a bizarre life living with someone who sees me as a stranger. Listening to Joe's song actually made me laugh about it.

I've always loved this song, but since I just viewed the movie "Flight" with Denziel Washington, I've come to appreciate it even more. I'm so glad that contemporary movie producers can revitalize old classics and introduce them to a new generation.
Ten years old when I first heard this thanks to my 20 year old older sister. I have to thank her and Joe for shaping my taste in music. She'd always smile at her silly little brother dancing around the living room to this. Amazing voice and style that of a caliber that we just don't see anymore. RIP Mr. Cocker.

Oh yeah ,Joe Coker , was a real deal rocker. What a rare and amazing talent that brother was. This definitely put a smile on my face to remember the man and the era !
Saw him a couple of years before he died and so honoured a great show with a smoking band and backup singers
He’s still joe forever. He’s the joe I know. I deal with ailments. We all deal with ailments. But joe deserves to be an elite. He deserves it. People shuned him. It’s really bullshit. Joe cocker was from another place and time. And I really miss him.

Big HUGS Danny Ferrera 😿😢😓🤧🤗💪
First written by Dave Mason and recorded by him & Traffic . Recorded by many but Joe Cockers rendition is the Best!
We saw him at a small venue, outdoor performance, with a couple hundred people, in 1988, Columbus, Ohio. It was an amazing and personal concert. Joe had his full band, and 3 female backup singers. Myself along with the rest of his fans, were Woodstock generation hipsters. It was a 'rockin' love fest'. Many of us sang along, when Joe performed some of his older music, the songs he's best know for. It was memorable.

"Myself?" Really? Do you talk like that, as well?
This band does a very good job, blending rock, soul, rhythm and blues.....the groove here is so good......the type of feel that only a collection of elite musicians can understand and create....the keyboard player recreates and embellishes Leon's famous piano playing from the "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" live album from back in the 70's.....
@lighttakesthetree

The piano player here looks like Chris Stainton doesn't it, the same guy who played piano when Leon Russell was playing guitar on this tune during one of the "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" performances from 1970? Check out the KZread video that has Leon playing guitar on this tune and see what you think.

lighttakesthetree Yes, I believe you are right. By the way, that video with Leon on guitar is a classic period piece...Leon, even on some kind of drugs...(just guessing) hangs in and plays great guitar leads.

lighttakesthetree Chris Stainton is gonna be a household name for me now....since I am spending a lot of time playing keys these days. Guitar has been my primary instrument for a long time.....but for the last three years, I have had a daily practice regimen to improve my technique on guitar, and get the muscle memory in my hands on the keys as well as transferring the pattern recognition and such to keys.
Yeah for my 60th birthday - TURN IT UP - Joe was priceless!
Love this song
Phantastic. Joe is one of THE singers and the whole band is amazing.
RIP Joe Cocker. THE coolest guy in the music world. You'll be missed.
I saw Joe C. in Lowell MA, he energized the auditorium. It was an electric night.
Nothing better. The chorus is so fine and makes this piece.
Saw him in 67 before his fame what a show He was destined to become famous
RIP Joe Cocker...one of my all time favs! You will be missed and honored!
This is Joe Cocker's signature song. Other artists have sang this song but, Joe Cocker takes it to another level.

Hello Paula how are you doing hopefully all is well with you and your family??
You can’t invoke this era without him, He was a big part of the airwaves. I love this big combo sound.
Great song!
I loved me some Joe Cocker, he was the best singer of Rock, and Soul music, I've ever heard. He could hold his own with the best, including James Brown. When I saw him on the show with James Brown and Friends, Joe and Wilson Picket were the only ones that let James know that they could scream also. My opinion is that Joe and the Wicket Pickett held back because both of them could scream just as good as James, and James knew it, that's why James kept screaming not that he was any better because he wasn't, both of them were honoring him, by not trying to out shine him. Joe Cocker had a unique style, he could sing hard rock and soul which made him stand out. Also Robert Palmer was one of my favorites on that show as well. Addicted to Love was my song. The Beatles wrote good songs but to me they were not good singers, but good writers.
Oh my I wish I'd been lucky enough to see him in person!
