I will never understand how my team (Atlanta) had all that talent but we had only 1 WS win. Still one of the best walk off HRs I have ever seen

Funny to think that the 1st ever come-from-behind walk off World Series championship homer was NOT hit in the United States, but in Canada. But in any event, Canada AND the Blue Jays FINALLY got a Grade A+++ moment in ALL of baseball history that the U.S. can't take from us. Still makes me smile even after 31 years since SkyDome exploded (and I mean EXPLODED) into a total meltdown of fan happiness. :-)

Greatest Home Run in Blue Jays History and Jose Bautista got nothing on this.

He made the final play for the blue jays to win the world series 2 years in a row. You could say this winning home run was karma rewarding him for graciously giving the winning ball from the previous year to the pitcher who threw the final pitch.

Mike Timlin was that pitcher who got the 1992 save, and Joe was the one who caught Otis Nixon's failed bunt attempt for the final out of the 1992 season at First. ;)

Greatest HR of All Time: (tie) Bill Mazeroski and Joe Carter . Slight afvantage to Maz because his was so improbable. . Nothing can equal winning the World Series.

But the Blue Jays were trailing in Joe's situation while the game was tied in Bill's. To me, the Jays get the nod because extra innings were NOT guaranteed for them like they were for Bill. o.o

Sorry, but Mazeroski's walk off against the Yankees beats out Carter's homer.

No. Carter's came with his team trailing. The score was tied when Maz hit his homer.

@@Lava1964 You got me there. But the Pirates were not supposed to even compete with the Yankees. What they and Maz did was truly amazing.
