Atleast in India, our experience over last thousand years is such that, when we tried to accept outsiders, they occupied us and ruled us and tried to convert us (yes, won't mention the atrocities they did to us - won't forget, but fine to forgive). Compared to other nations, our RBI is doing way better. My Uncle residing in US told us they’re buying eggs for 12 dollars a dozen. Under normal circumstances, it would be 3-4 dollars.
