You sounded beautiful on it!
Sounds nice. I hope they make it for alto too, I love my HR* 5M as its so free blowing, but would love to have this darker tone for alto.
Beautiful sound
Great Job
I hope they produce one for alto! My HR* 6 is a great piece, but I'd love to try this darker version.

I've come from the future. Jody did it. He mad a Custom Dark for alto😁
Pretty warm sounding .. like to hear you play something sort of Stan Getz see to show how well it compares to the Otto link. Vintages HR
Tivon Pennicott kind of sound. Sounds great.
Thanks for the review. How does it compare with the modern Otto link HR Tone edge and Tone edge slant sig mpcs?
I am using the Jody Jazz HR*7 and like it a lot. Previously used Berg Larson 110/0 and Dukoff *8. I feel the hard rubber gives me a mellower sound but has the punch when I need it. Took some getting used to but I like it better. I use a Rico or VanDoren #5 reed. Speaking of reeds, if you play a cane reed and don't use the Reed Geek you are not getting the best from your reeds.
How does it compare with the Ambika?
I like this guy, but it's hard to trust someone that has a picture of Kenny G in the background

Kenny G has enormous talent as a musician. He is also wise enough to understand how use that talent to create wealth. Like any good craftsman he knows which tool to use and when to use it. He can play all that jazz straight ahead, fusion, smooth or even holiday style. So say what you want about Mr. G the man knows his craft. His album sales make it clear that his sound is highly favored. Who has your picture in the background.

@@collinsbruer740 Is that how you judge things, sales? If you’re into music because you think it’s a good financial decision then fine but some of us are more into the artistry of the music rather than the commerce. I’d also guess the original post was a joke.

HI What make of sax are you playing on

I think it's an Eastman 52nd Street.
I like the Alexander 8* you played slightly better. Similar in core sound, the Alexander has a bit more edge.
Isn't this more or less Jody's take on the classic HR Link?
What is that sax? Custom Raw?

I have a Jodie Jazz Chicago
It almost sound like a baritone sax.
I think it’s funny that every single comment doesn’t have a single like
The softer rubber is used to dampen some of the high frequencies, I would imagine. Overpriced though for what it is.
