If you guys ever make a shirt that says “Back in the dayyy” I’d like to pre order that. That quote is hilarious
There is much here that I agree with. The distinction of treating someone with respect and having respect for them in your own mind.
I've been going through a bout of bullshit depression (first time in my life and its really been fucking with me), but I just wanted to say I got your new book Jocko and its awesome. Thank you.

Echo's spot on at 36:36. I look back to when I was in school and i'm sure if i applied and dedicated at least 2 hours of work outside of school 5 days a week, every week I could have easily graduated with all A's instead of spending 4 hours a night on COD:Modern warfare 2 and Street fighter 4(as much enjoyment as that brought me). At the time and that age, you don't realise how Important it is, no one explained to me that If I worked hard now, it would pay off immensely and give me a little extra boost when I entered the real world. It all seems so simple looking back. I'm now 25 and have been working my ass off since I graduated Uni at 21 and I can't help but wonder how much further I would be in reaching my dreams/goals if I'd had this attitude at 15, or 18-21. I essentially did the bare minimum to get by in education (some B's/Mostly C average student) all the way to 21. I've realised once stepping into the real world, that way of working isn't enough to get me to where I want to go in life. It could have been... there are many low effort, cushy jobs in this world I could have fallen into, but for me to get to where I want to go, I need to GET. AFTER. IT.

^ shouldt it even matter when you workout as long as you just do it? but ya rest is important
JOCKO IS THE TYPE OF GUY TO READ BED TIME STORIES TO YOUNG MEN AND HAVING THEM WAKE UP WITH FULL GROWN BEARDS AND READY TO DEFEND AMERICA
GOOD EVENING JOCKO AND ECHO.
Great podcast guys. Tons of wisdom being passed around in this podcast. Using tact when dealing with co-workers, bosses, spouses, etc. is a must, even though it’s not always easy.
At 6:10 omg the gum thing is so true. Some of the best advice I have heard is if someone offers you a piece of gum, you should always take it!
"casting Edicate out the window.." with out a doubt the funniest thing if you train jiu jitsu for a long time and understand why Jocko said that lol
practical philosophy 101. loved it!

brian smithson bro that first few months of jocko high in your life is amazi g
I don't know why Echo Charles's arms look jacked. The more I look the bigger they look. Jocko, sir, love your leadership, moreover, I live them day by day. In the ups and downs, I put them to the test and see the results. Again, sir, it's an honor to learned from the best.
Totally worth listening to just here Mr. Jocko imitate a wife wanting a latte (56:03).
dude Jocko at 56:28 had me rolling

What's that? I guess I haven't gotten that far yet.
what sucks is most people in this higher positions aren't looking to improve..
at 50 minutes that is so true. E.D. Rn here. Hard to listen to someone complain about how they need a new car after earlier today I had a finger in someones chest to stop bleeding due to a gun shot wound and they died.
did i spot a test zit patch on echo's right gun?
Hi, I was looking at the Jocko store to get some T-shirts but I couldn't find a size chart. I live outside the US now and sizes here don't match US ones so I like to check the measurements before placing an order. If you could add one for each category (T-shirts, Hoddies, and Rash Gaurds) it would be much appreciated. Thanks for another awesome podcast.

I bet Echo's a really nice guy, but he is the least coherent human being I've ever heard in my entire life.

We call that "Derpy".
Please put a "Talk Timer" on Echo. Don't let him talk for more than 30 seconds at a time. Put a button timer on the table and make him press it every time he talks and if he can't skip to his moronic point within 30 seconds then, "NEST QUESTSH"!
echo talk less man. for the concept. {no offense}
Echo's incoherent rambling causes the podcast to come to a grinding halt once again.
