The man was a genius and was the best manager ever...coz no one else could of the put that side together and win the lot? To any haters,it may be Scottish teams but sometimes it's harder to beat these teams as you can take them lightly...and get complacent,he had a lot to put up with aswell... Glad Fergie took notes

The Greatest Manager in Britain!! A Man above men and a Gent amongst gents. Ferguson would not have achieved what he did without watching the true Maestro of Management at first hand.

@@jimlittle588 “Jock Stein joined Lodge Blantyre Kilwinning No. 557 during the early part of his life, but understandably because of his football commitments he could not attend his Mother Lodge as regularly as he would have wished.” I think we all know MrStein outgrew that way of thinking in life. He could not abide bigotry and this was one of the main reasons he wanted to prove himself at Celtic.

Good to see a reference to Big Jock (and Willie Waddell) and their generally forgotten trip to Milan to study Herrera's set up. This was organised by George Reid, then a reporter for the Scottish Daily Express, who later became an MP, MSP and Presiding Office for the Scottish Parliament.

I'm a gers fan. The comments by my so called fans of my team are shocking. Ok he may have "knew" . As the cliche goes "let he who is without sign cast the first stone" we all know the rumours of a famous gers captain having an interest in boys. Jock was indeed a legend of a man and a manager.

Still pissed off wae the referee who admitted he shoulda let the second goal stand at elland rd just like the cunt at Anfield who admitted Bobby Lennox's goal should stood....yeah 2-1 at Hampden...shoulda been 5-1....what a mistake in the final though....underestimating feyenoord and it took them until the last minute of extra time to win it....replay would have been different though...same team as semi final and the big cup back at Paradise.
