Damn I remember driving around with my son, who’s 39 now, and blasting this joint in my low rider and a couple yrs ago I put this on and he surprised me that he remembered us driving around and just blowing up all kinds of rollas but he knew this one, just saying a great memory and a moment in time that I got to share with him, Love you Stephen

Absolutely outstanding backing vocals. And Jocelyn brown remains on the of most powerful female voices of all time
Jocelyn Brown put feets in this classic jam and sang the notes off the keys on this cut and it's still a bumper. respect
Love how this lady hits those high notes.

RIP Aunt Carmel…this one is for you.🙏🏾♥️💐
This woman sang this song. She rocks my world every time i hear the intro. I only have one problem. That is when she says 'i cant get off my high horse n i cant let go' - well im not in that league cuz i can let him go back to her or whoever. I kept hearing these words in my head while i was getting ice cream. Jocelyn sounds so good when shes putting emphasis on her pain w/her voice. I can feel every word she sings. It hurts so bad when we get played. Sometimes the hurt never stops or goes away. Praying for us all to have relief from the pain of fakery.

When this song came out in ‘84 I had it on a cassette (haha) and had my player in my car on repeat. I just wanted to keep that instrumental beat. What a great tune from that era along with Patrice Rushen’s Forget Me Nots.

Oh yes I so 👍 agree. There's no doubt. An amazing vocalist. 👏 I've heard so many versions of this song but Jocelyn is the original singer did no one could have sang it better than her.
Just as hot today as it was back in 1984. Jocelyn has such a rich history in music. Here's a few studio groups she sang with in the 70's, early 80's. evanche, Musique, Inner Life, Disco Tex and The Sex-O-Lettes, Cerrone, Bad Girls, Chic, Change and Salsoul Orchestra. UnidiscMusic keepin it alive!

This song brings back so many memories... I see us in my moms house doing the LA Strut! Thank you for true music and loving memories!!! Ms. King. ❤
This song was popular back when I got out of the Army and started college. Would hear it on a radio station in Miami, Florida driving to campus. This song takes me back to those days.
This song just makes me feel good. Still one of my favorites after all of these years. That bass line kills me🔥🔥🔥 Jocelyn’s voice amazes me and those background vocals are spine tingling.❤❤❤

Merci et Idem, je ne vois , ni je ne lis aucun commentaire français, et pourtant Jocelyne et ce type de son a bercé nos années 80 , quelle nostalgie vu le son de nos jours, il n'y a rien de comparable !!
An EXCELLENT piece of music. Kudos to Jocelyn Brown, whose vocal sets the tone and mood. Very Nice! Thanks for uploading.
This song is so fire. No one really makes songs like this anymore. Music in general has fell WAY off. But at least we've been given these masterpieces to keep going back to. Shukran Jocelyn!!

You are so right. The instrumentals are perfect. This is what I call a headphone song. Put on your headphones, close your eyes, and listen at all the complex details in this song. The bass player needs a monument built in his/her honor. The background singers should be stars all on their own. The lead singer is a national treasure. If this song only from the 4:15 mark to the end it would still be a chart topper.
I love it! Since the release in 1984 this great Track is always in my mind. Thank you so much Jocelyn
