Don't talk to me about Whitney, Mariah, or Beyonce....these women SANG y'all.

This video illustrates what I love about black female vocalists....especially the more 'full figured' ones. They blow the most beautiful, powerful notes and they don't even look like they're trying. And when they try, they blow the roof off the building. I'll NEVER forget when I had the pleasure of driving Martha around Dallas a few years ago, and her speaking voice in the confined space of the car was just overwhelming...and intoxicating. That lady has some legendary pipes.

I wish they'd do a whole album together. What a masterpiece that would be.

@xbase09 Martha's roots are in gospel - she comes from a Pentecostal background, if memory serves.. Her talent was first discovered while singing in her family church at a VERY young age. As a teenager, she toured Europe with a gospel group called News of the World.

OMG I have this on vinyl including several different remixes. What a great song! Im soooo glad to see these two women on stage together with no drama that usually follows other female stars sharing a stage. Kudos ladies.

There voices was made for our dance music. These ladies are so good together. Ms Martha is rhythm and she adds so much energy to any song. These girls didn't get their dues and should had received awards after awards. MY! MY! MY! Sing you bad women of soul!!!!!

@cbdallas +1. Does anyone know if wash used to sing in a church choir? It seems that many great female vocalists in the house-scene learns to sing in methodist choirs for example(just look at the new jersey house-scene)

these are the two women who sang all SNAP and black box vocals but hidden away because off there weight and not seen as attractive, how sad so sad Martha sang all black box tracks, also many many other dance acts, music industry is so fake
