Luis Martins The car is a pre-2014 Daytona Prototype. It's naturally aspirated.

I think she'll forgive him and learns to appreciate his skills when she sees how calm and controlled he was and how this was quite obviously not a to-the-limit run. There is just such a huge gap between the professionals and mere mortals.

At the start I kept confusing the two.

The car is actually electric and therefore silent. She's making the high pitched screams and he's making the low growling noise. It's a mating ritual.

I laughed so hard I almost cried. I think it's cute that she wants to have a picture taken before they start, like she has no idea what she's in for. I would LOVE to know what Joao told her before they did this. "Oh honey, it won't be bad, I'll take it easy on you..." I'd REALLY love to know what she told him when they were done!

Boy that car sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made me remember my first ride around Lime Rock (1961 in Lance Pruyn's Vette). It is that first moment when your brain says "Oh Shit, brake now!!!!" and your pilot grabs a gear and UPSHIFTS and ACCELERATES toward certain doom. And then the first braking itself as you suddenly experience high G DECELERATION. Nice vid, made me smile.

That was awesome! LMAO!...I love how Joao was trying to keep her calm and driving with one hand at 185mph....priceless!

A least she screams on key sometimes to the whine of the car :)

Back in the late 60's I used to race Sports Cars at Riverside (and other places) and one of the guys I worked with (Not a Race Track related job) was always riding me about how slow and bad a driver I was, And often tried to humiliate me in front of our Co Workers. Just a loud mouth, know it all bully! So I took him for ride on a Rally Course I used to practice on in the San Gorgonio Mountains one day. Only about 5 miles one way. He was screaming like this Lady after the first turn. A hairpin! When I hit the Cul De Sac at the end he was hoarse and said "Damn, I'm glad that over". I just grinned as we still had to go back down the Mountain. Going down is always faster and more fun, I think, than going up. Definitly more challenging... He said he wet himself before we were safely down. He never said another word about my driving. I guess he got a clue what was about to happen when I pulled out helmets for he and I to wear at the start line. It was a good day for me! That road is all lined with million dollar houses now, according to Google.

Joao now sleeps on the sofa. This was the most hilarious husband/wife lap I have ever seen.

🤣🤣🤣🤣I remember watching this ages ago. When they were sitting on pit road in the beginning, the man to the left on the pit wall you can see him dying laughing before they took off. He knew she was in for some shite😂. She couldn't WAIT to get out of that car especially everytime he hit the NASCAR straights/bankings.

After the lap he looked at her and said, "Yep, just another day at the office."

Here's a suggestion: Hand restraints.

Thankfully the car was loud enough to cover 98% of her ridiculous bitching and screaming so we didn't have to hear it all...

I can't tell between the scream of his wife, or the gear box...

I like how these drivers cannot take it easy even thought their better half are in the right seat

It's really scary being a passenger. I used to race a class 10 desert car & stuff that isn't scary at all when I was driving driving put me in a near panic state as a passenger. We are also talking much lower speeds in a desert race car. lol I would probably pass out riding in a car like this.

That looked quite relaxing.

Can't tell between iam loving this or absolutely terrified....
