I remember every one loved Carson but I preferred when Joan hosted it ,when I was young it was the only time I stayed up to watch,Carson didn't have her edge

She had a healthy view of life. Leave the past to the past and move on.

Joan Rivers would test jokes to Paparazzi all the time, and would decide on what was actually funny by the response to see what to include in her show. That one didn't land well, so she didn't include it. This narrative by Qanon Trump supporters that she was somehow "privy to inside knowledge" about Michelle Obama being a man is nuts. Joan voted for Obama twice and only was a Republican in the Reagan era.

@@ashm7922 Joan didn't like Obama but it was a joke. Some think she was killed, like doctors would risk their careers and reputation. She also said Lincoln was gay.

@@ashm7922 ya'll are delusional. You cant even find ONE video online of her calling Michelle a tranny. She was being serious. I remember watching it.

One of the very first succeesful females to solo host a daytime talk show. Sge won an Emmy for it. A true legend. I think only Dinah Shore came before her.

14:26 - U can tell at this point the Interviewer had NO sense of timing or TV ebb & flow. (She'd been OK till then.) At 14:26, she'd asked Joan a 'deep' & "closing question." Joan thinks 4 a moment & comes back with a witty and 'fade out' answer. Joan's a Comedienne, 4 God's sake: Close ur interview with her with a laugh or joke she's made. But this "Journalist" misses the timing / natural perfect ending. Instead she laughs..(which proves it was funny)...but jumps back in with another "closing, closing question." 🤦🏻‍♂️ | What a squandered opportunity. Fairly certain Joan would have been thinking, "What an 'attractive' but vacuous air head" (Comedians regard jokes as their 'babies' & hate 2 c them...or the perfect set-up...missed, wasted or mis-delivered. They call it "killing the laugh" & to them, it's the 2nd greatest sin. After not being funny on stage or during ur act: "Tanking" | RIP Joan. Sorry about this 😘
