It’s funny how so many are actually believing this stuff is not staged. I like Gary too, but he’s totally acting and doing a good job of it. Joan’s departure was totally pre-planned.

These women are just incredible - so happy this show highlights women of our generation!

Me too. It can be hurtful at times. I don't need or seek attention, but a simple acknowledgement of my presence would be great. I'm 65 and I feel completely invisible.😢

I feel this and im only 30! My husband doesnt understand why i dont care to go out without him. And this perfectly explains it. Nobody sees me. And when they do they second they realize im married. Nothing i say is heard. Its worse with other women somehow. I just want genuine friendship.

Joan is such a beautiful person

I honestly think Joan is the one who got away…her and Gerry make a beautiful couple. Sucks when the timing is not right but I hope they are able to reconnect.

I think Joan Vassos is rightfully too busy with her own family to be the Golden Bachelorette on TV. I'm not going to watch because any man she might pick will always be 2nd or even 3rd in her pecking order of priorities. She can look for a man that lives near her, because she is already quoted as saying she is not moving for any man.

You're still relevant at an older age Joan, and you still look good 😉

I remember when I first saw her, I thought WOW she looks Amazing and Beautiful and to top it off, she has a Beautiful Heart. :)

Next to Joan who had a crush on Gerry during these times on that outing on location. She joins Jesse who unfortunately leaving the show in the hot seat when she open up about her unexpected departure from the rose ceremony and whether or not she think she and Gerry whose burst out tears like Joan could've had a real chance at love if she stayed. Before the final three, she said to him who is definitely the first person and she'd dated that has lost a spouse we got to go yeah eventually. And fter the conversation, before she castoff and before a night on The Women Tells All, she eventually met 2 and a half years and she loved being married. She feels like she's ready. Then Gerry accepts this rose who just had a baby 15 days ago but for the first time in her life, she was bound to do something for herself. That limo was taking her back home.....She shed a tear but it was the seventh week on The Golden Bachelor before she left. Gerry was alone in tears....

We can be nice. This show encourages each contestant to come up with a unique entrance and likely makes suggestions, if needed. It doesn’t mean someone is desperate. It’s part of the formula.

I think she should of stayed, it wasn't life, or death....might be one of her biggest regrets. Not too many Gerty's out there.

What?!?! This doesn't make sense. If she had to abruptly leave (why?), why couldn't they continue to keep in touch? And why did she have to abruptly leave? Was her daughter or some other family member trying to sabotage her future relationship with another man?

Because that's the show. Once you leave, that's it! And her daughter had postpartum depression - that can be debilitating or even fatal. Suggesting that her daughter sabotaged her mom in any way is...horrible.

Joan is not going to be golden bachelorette. Its not going to happen. They give that spot to runner ups!!!!

Joan Vassos left the season she was on almost immediately. I get it that it was a family emergency. My feeling though is there are other women who stayed, put in their time and had their hearts broken. Why was Joan Vassos given the "Golden Bachelorette". She already said her family 'always comes first', so where will any prospective "Golden Man" she picks be in her pecking order? I'm not happy she was picked before other women, and she's rightfully too busy with her family to try to find a new love on a TV show. I am not going to watch the Joan Vassos "Golden Season" that will probably not work out in the end anyway.

Her daughter should have let her have her time.

Who ever Gerry gives his final rose to I don't think it will be his forever. I feel he let Faith go because she was an independent women and too strong for him and the other 2 left are a little needy it seems. I think when this is all said and done he is going to reach out to Joan and that will be his forever.

Sorry, but the Golden Bachelor Jerry was too unreal --for me--and the women were sad in competing against each other for him. I'm thankful this dribble of a show won't repeat.

I think this whole thing is staged for Joan to be the next Golden Bachelorette. Poor Gary. He would have picked her.

Uhm I feel like she’s using this platform to feel validated. Or she came and maybe felt there’s no genuine long lasting connection.
