Though I know and like this guy, I was a Jumpmaster instructor and there are a few violations here.
He did check the chest strap. In the Benning sequence the control hand remains on the left main lift web with the pinky in contact with the main lift web adjuster when you transition to the chest strap. Only in the Bragg sequence do you lift up on the carrying handle. He also didn't seat the main curved pin which is another Bragg-ism.
I know nothing about the stuff. I'm proud of you lil bro. Everybody is a critic and can do better of course. Love you bro. Shalom.
Didn't check the chest strap. Masked the universal static line modified on the pack tray.
I am happy to see that the tradition is still being carried on with in 3rd Bn 4th ADAR. I just wished that the Dept of the Army would re-assigned them back to the 82nd's control. This is a great BN in which I had the Honor to serve in as 16r, 16s and a 14s.
Do you even inspect, bro?
This is a “Hollywood” demonstration, as was explained, and was performed for parents and spouses at Family Day. As a parent who was there, yes, I was impressed. I was impressed with his demonstration, but especially with his willingness to perform in front of a crowd of curious visitors. I was also impressed with all of the soldiers there who later jumped that day.
Chests trap wasn't even checked for roosting.
Aside from violating sequence twice, not seating the main curved pin, and not correcting the giant quick release in the waistband... pretty fast.
Did he make sure the chest strap double sewed portion was faced towards his heart so when he pulls the quick release in his chest strap it doesn't get caught in his chest strap friction adapter ?
