    Haha, I bought a Gnarvana this morning and we were doing this exact same comparison after paddling today. Both boats were same color as shown here too! 😂

    Love this comparison man! Preciate y’all going through them both and comparing them! I previously thought the hulls were much more similar until seeing it in person! Can’t wait to try Tony’s out😂🤘🏽

    Yeah it’s pretty different then the code it’s one of these boats that’s like you could keep the code for manky low volume and use this on bigger water runs

    I’d be curious to see an in water rocker comparison. One boat could have more rocker but the other could float higher. I don’t know the answer of which bow and stern sit higher out of the water, but that could be more accurate.

    Very valid point things like where the volume is in the kayak paddling style ect will change rocker from boat to boat I actually don’t think this matters as much as people think personally I got ask the question million times and takes 2secs to throw a tape measure on it why not I do it to get a more of a base measurement of rocker as a reference because after paddling boats like the wavesport Phoenix and now the Gnarvana the high-volume front with wide flat bow width changes a lot more than people think which is by far the best thing this boat has going for it I don’t want to know it bad enough to get all these random boats in the water and splashing around filming them I just do these side by said just quick reference for everyone I always recommend demoing a boat and get their own opinion is its going to work for them thanks for the feedback buddy…

    Wade not sure you have previously covered and I know there are a number of factors, but why such a difference in paddler weight when the specs for the two kayaks are near identical but the Code supports a paddler up to 220 and the Jackson only 200?

    It’s really a suggestion most manufacturers will do like a cad calculation to see what it says is top weight for optimal performance i would say it’s more important to be closer to weight on a kayak with sharper edges then rounded so that the edges are more on the surface and in play that’s why you see displacement style hulls with wider ranges then planning

    Hi Wade love the videos, I’ve watched most of them. Please can you comment on Jackson vs Dagger internal seat width. Ideally on the Large Boats. Are Jackson seats wider than Dagger seats or vice Versa? Trying to get an answer before I order a new boat.

    I know dagger only uses one style seat in all the boats they just add extra height to the seat towers I will have to look into Jackson and see what's up boat to boat

    @@WadeHarrison haha nice ya I’m a fan of solid colours . I been on the red train for Jackson for a bit . Solid yellow or solid lime would be alright too but they are all multi tie dye at this point . Wasn’t sure if it was an outfiting comment , Colour or something about the design when he said it .

    Honestly consider customer service first on these boats. If you have a warranty issue, especially out here in the west, one of these companies has no customer service or support. Do your own research 👌

    Man is the Gnarvana really 46 lbs? Code is already heavy AF before I put a break down and my drybag in there. I like the design but it's just a big fat heavy barge, ready to try something faster and lighter

  • @WadeHarrison

    @WadeHarrison

    Жыл бұрын

    It’s 48 and the code is supposed to be 49 but I agree it feels heavier but the Gnarvana is not super lightweight i think this or the scorch will be a great upgrade from the code but the code will be a better low volume Creeker

  • @UrsaMusic

    @UrsaMusic

    @@WadeHarrison nice, thanks. I saw someone weight the medium Scorch at 50 (50 claimed weight) and the medium Code at 54 lbs (50 claimed weight). Code is gonna stay as the mank runner but I need a go fast creeker and I’d even paddle an ugly bow Jackson if I can shed 8 lbs and have better outfitting and safety than the Waka
