JK-2 Nano Hirth F23 first flights in USA

Ойын-сауық

This isn't intended for training purposes, we are not certified flight instructors. This is Lukas from Fusioncopter doing a test flight and the reason why you see the speeds in km/meters. You will also notice the rotor RPM spike from time to time, FlyFocus is working on a software update to correct. This is first ever video I have posted, very basic, learning and will get better Visit www.flynanogyro.com for more info on the Nano

    Thank You! I had a purchase order filled out last February, and I backed out for a few reasons. The first was that there was not enough info. At that time there was only the very few "distance" videos. The second was not enough engine options. A close second was the throttle on the stick. I still don't get that....but it seems to work. I've heard nothing but positive reviews of these machines. Apparently, the fit and finish is superb. The price is right. Some more vids would definitely push folks like me into a buy.

    One owner actually moved the throttle to the left side near his thigh area behind the Start button. I thought that was a good spot but after doing the prerotation I came to the conclusion it was best where it is as you need to engine rpms, hold brake and move red level (engage prerotation) and I found it easier to handle the 2 levers with my left hand. When I fly I will explain it all in the video and get it posted, I think it will make more sense that way. The fit and finish is very professional / top notch. Fusioncopter is very detail orientated and look for perfection in everything. In the 2 shows I have attended so far I haven't heard one negative comment towards the build quality from anyone. Thanks for the interest, subscribe if you haven't so you get all future videos.

    Good to see yours flying Jeffrey! I noticed the mild stick shake, quite responsive (twitchy?) to control inputs, and the farly 'notchy' rotor rpm indication- needs more pulses/rev on the rpm sensor to give a finer resolution. Climbs very nicely at WOT, and looks like about 80 kph cruise at 5000 rpm- that will do me. Looking forward to receving my machine- it is on the water now.

  • @ZK-BEE

    @ZK-BEE

    Actually, looking closer at the rotor rpm- the numeric indication has good resolution, it is the analog display that is notchy and doesn't start indicating until about 200rpm. Looks like expanded scale from 200 rpm up?

    "mild stick shake" Didn't seem at all mild. Pilot had to relieve his hand only minutes into the FLT. This is something that needs to be addressed as it is a deal killer for me. Otherwise, a beautiful machine.

    Mnice59, that's a good observation, but Advisory Circular AC 90-66B states that rotorcraft should "avoid the flow of fixed wing traffic" for their traffic patterns. I would say that the pot in this video did a good job of doing that.

    Lukas was pretty quick to keep nose down and that is where the stick shake happened, all gyros will have stick shake to a certain degree, Fusioncopter has made adjustments to reduce the shake already, you don't feel it when in flight, at least I don't.

    Fits nicely into a 7’x12’ trailer. 4 bolt blade install takes 5 minutes with 2 people or 8 mines alone. Takeoff run is approximately 650’ over a 50’ obstacle at standard pressure. I love the Mosquito and may pick one up, but the $$ wasn’t in the budget this year. Plus you get well over an hour flight time with the Nano as compared with 35-45 minutes with the Mosquito XEL.
