@@deaudu Even with the player he was in the Dallas stint they still did a god awful job of using him and coaching was 70% of the problem when he was healthy. They had him just standing in the corner and whether or not KP had embraced that task it was still a total waste of his skillset, especially on a mavs team that had plenty of perimeter shooting but not enough rim pressure or guys that can give teams matchup issues/punish switching defenses. Well they had KP, they just used him in the exact wrong way to exploit the things that Dallas had needed to have more success. They had the potential for ridiculous spacing and they didn’t wanna use it for whatever reason lol

Celtics are the clear cut favorites in the East right now. They’ve owned the Sixers in this era, and have beaten a Bucks team that was much better defensively than this one when it mattered. Tatum has also gotten a ton of unearned skepticism for a guy that’s had some amazing games facing elimination. The only question in the East for Boston is if they’ll have to face Miami, because that’s the one matchup that always gives them problems.

One hand I was pissed Porzingus didn’t get in. On the other hand, I’m glad he got to relax and get ready for the second half. Talking heads in the media talking about all Celtics do is shoot 3s but no one has mention how Joe has managed his and Al’s min so far perfectly. If Tillman can be somewhat serviceable and give those guys more rest the second half of the season, the postseason will be a headache for any team that match up with the Celtics. I haven’t been this confident in the Celtics since the 09-10 teams. Porzingus’s health is the only thing that can derail this season.

Wade (winning a championship in his 3rd season) was supposed to be face of the League from 2006 - 2010 (his peak prime). But the injuries in between those years have held him down and we didn't see that peak for a long stretch. And specially, he's squeezed in a decade where Kobe & LeBron got all the media attention. That made it a lot harder to break.

For anyone who thought they were a championship calabur teams before this year... that is sad because they weren't, and if they did win, it wouldn't be praise to the Celtics but a knock on the rest of the league. I'm not saying they aren't a championship team now without (porzingis) because their firepower is crazy, but if they lose a championship without Porzingis I wouldn't be surprised, but with Porzingis, (on paper) playing correctly they are the favorite in most eyes. I only say on paper because there is only 1 ball and there are a handful of teams that are top heavy enough to win it all.... (clippers - healthy 76er's)

I still wonder about Boston though. They have two major weaknesses, possibly 3. The first is interior defense against bigger teams, the other is late game shot selection-decision making, and finally mental toughness. The third one is major, something I believe they can overcome, but haven’t yet. March will reveal a lot, on the schedule, Dallas, Golden St., Denver, Phoenix x2, Bucks, and New Orleans.

JJ really a better analyst compared to others. Basing on stats, it looks like he watches games (watch his podcast, he states personal stats, he remembers plays etc), and he critiques on valid points with basis. Compared that to Perkins calling someone a bird brain when he does not personally know Mazulla. And no, he does not owe Rivers his career. Place him on another team at that time, he'd be a starter. He'd still be playing if not for the injuries.
