A huge part of reporting on the sport is the ANALYZE it, which means breaking it down from a perspective of someone with advanced knowledge of the game. He makes sense, but the world we live in. People love the drama. But real sports fans know the deal. All the top videos have an ounce of drama embedded whether is this player vs that player and whose the best to anything that’s not entirely related to the sport.

Whether he’s annoying or not his point still stands people don’t want to dive into the stats and learn about the game they want quick engagement and hot topcis

I don't think it's the job of sports journalists to "educate" people on basketball either. They're just there to report on what's going on in the NBA. It's up to the individual fans to educate themselves about the game. Only if they want to that is.
