Aww I LOVE this song! It feels like it was written about me and my husband. We actually went to Jr. High and High school together, but never really spoke. We then reconnected years later through one of my best friends. I had this list of what I wanted in a significant other, and he really wasn't what I thought I wanted. He was a farm boy, and I was far from anything farm-like. I always said I was a city girl trapped in a country girls world. haha It took me a while to message him, because of that stupid list. All the while I had prayed about that list, and I FINALLY let go of everything except that he had to love God. I finally sent him a message after seeing him at a concert at a local church. We started talking, as friends, and I started noticing that he was a really good guy. I hadn't dated since high school, which was about 9 years prior at that time, and that was left with huge trust issues. So even though I wanted to find my other half, I was terrified. After a while he asked me on a date, even though he didn't think we would click because we were "different". But that first date went amazingly well. There was even a goodnight kiss, which I didn't expect because it was our first date... but he asked... hehe That man is an incredibly patient man. Because of my trust issues, I had a hard time believing that he truly liked me. Even still after he said "I love you", and even still after he proposed, I had a hard time believing that he could actually love me. Mainly because of my last relationship, where my ex said he loved me but when he broke up with me he said he had lied all that time, he didn't really love me. So needless to say my now husband had to work a little bit... which I am so glad he did! We've been married for almost 5 years and now have 2 kids. It wasn't love at first sight, but the love we have now is well worth everything! (Sorry so long)
