I know he's trained under RG forever and was assistant and head of Ricksons school but are there any videos of him rolling? even Danaher has something out there. I don't doubt he can tap me, but how deep is his knowledge realized?

+Nate Stone Hi Nate I think like yourself there are many people curious about the same thing. I haven't rolled with Henry we did do some specific training drills where I got to feel how he moves and after training with him and Rickson I have no doubt how deep his bjj knowledge goes. Henry is quite amazing.

I've personally rolled and trained with Henry on many occasions. He's as legit as they come. Don't let a lack of footage fool you.

I don't get it. There are so many arm bar and kimura setups if you expose your arm like that in bottom side control.

Have a deeper look at Henry’s stuff you will find it’s not as easy to pull those off as it seems.

@@Agatsu is there any footage of him or anybody using that specific defense in a live scenario?

As much as i appreciate prof. Akins, the first technic seems very problematic. If you are on bottom and extent your hand like that is the easiest way for your opponent on the top to grab the momentum of your push and get you in an arm triangle.

If the person on the bottom is engaging his arm correctly it’s not as easy as you think to get an arm triangle. I encourage you to train with Henry and you will discover what so many black belts do that what you think and what is actually going on are two different things

@9min i would up and crush the shit out of that arm, the real idea is hide your hand under your oponnents arm pits eg get the underhook or the other arm pit takes away most attacks
