Pain is probably one of the most powerful villains in anime in my opinion. A 6-enemy battle, a variety of techniques, shared eyesight, the eyes of a legend, those black rod weapons as strong as kunai knives, and more all make them dangerous and hard to defeat.

It's a very bad idea to fight pain 1 by 1. Naruto died like 2 or 3 times already before defeating this guy. The snail info count as 1, minato stopping 9tails transformation count as 1, and tendo's body couldnt use his pull-push jutsu from the start count as 1. Without those 3, naruto would be dead by now. No wonder he's akatsuki leader.
