@@neeryours Nvm I didn't read below. Yeah it may sound useless for us people. But I think, apple is targeting it towards high class people who have 100s of things in home, who use iPhones already, Who have like 3-4 cars, 4-6 phones, iPad...

The real test would be when you can actually find something with these! Airtags are super accurate if any Apple devices are present nearby the tags! Would love to see how these JioTags work!

Apple uses other apple devices to provide ur apple airtag location that is nearly impossible for any other brand to implement except google itself. Basically airtag is dope but jiotag is complete garbage.

Portronics had a similar looking tag many years ago... It was called Tring.... Car tag would be interesting to watch out for...

The price seems too good all I need to know is whether its a replacement for tile. That's is what in the future you should compare, as it works only with android only. Also need to know whether it will be able to make use of the android devices around the perimeter to find a lost device as apple does. the main USP for air tag is that(but in India the number of apple users is very less) if jio can bring something similar to that service it will be massive.

Jio mainly focuses on budget products...they tend to make products as cheap as possible which usually comes at the expense of compromising with the quality...whereas Apple is a premium brand...they tend to focus more on the quality, which in turn makes their products good but costly...so there's no point in comparing Apple to Jio...jio can't even come close to apple in terms of quality and customer satisfaction, whereas Apple can't compete with jio in terms of affordability...

good point about jio, more users, good point about apple u1 chip, there needs to be a common links between all providers and beacon services where the tags simply communicate with common platform beacons via lorawan and do so every minute to save battery and beacon congestion

What makes AirTag unique is it doesn’t have GPS tracker, it picks up the nearest iPhone location and transmits its location using that iPhone. That’s why the battery lasts one year. If Jio manages to do it. 💥🔥

Apple tags connects to any apple device that comes near it (even ones not connected to the actual tag user) and transfers the tag location. For jio to do similar, they have to implement it in myjio app as jiotag app users will be very less. Myjio app will be with most jio users though. Also apple devices in India is very less too. So chances of your lost tag getting an apple device will be very less unless it passes through a place where apple users might visit more like airport and big offices.

JioTags use Bluetooth to connect when they are nearby? For the ring functionality?

Do you think Google should launch their GTAGS because Google already have Find my Device app so it's easy for them.

Jio can't add precision location because it uses UWB on it's iPhone's. Except for some Samsung phones, most android don't have UWB

JioTag sounds like Chinese Feature phone's ringtone..

I like jio tag....bcoz it's cheep...nd good for small things.like keys nd ..purse...but I think jio tag must give a rechargeable battery in this tag..

@@kartiksehrawat8921 Yes it's actually much more simpler on airtag, the silver cap is so obvious that anyone can open it. But that's not the point, point is you are supposed to hide the tag, if someone finds the tag they are not going to bother about removing battery, they'll just throw it out. It doesn't really matter how easy it is to replace the battery.

Try whether approx location gets updated when other jio things user comes in range. without reporting it as lost

That Jio Tag ka model looks so familiar. I think I have seen a similar model in China or Indonesia.

Apple #AirTag doesn't have GPS and it depends on Bluetooth connectivity with any of the Apple products in the world. If an #AirTag is placed it tries to connect to the nearby apple devices via Bluetooth and uses that device to send the signal back to the connected device. That's where it is so perfect in pointing. But it's a drawback in India as very few people use Apple products compared with other countries.

I think the advantage here is the find my network. Apple uses other apple devices to find lost devices . But with the Jio tag you are limited to Bluetooth connection with your device
