Jin is such an under-valued singer of the group. More surprising is the fact that he only started singing when he joined BTS as a trainee when he was in university. He had no musical/singing training prior to that. Plus, he just seems like such a down to earth, genuinely nice guy.

Jin received standing ovation from the audience for this performance. The highest way of respect given to an artist in Japan. What a mind-blowing performance

Jin is the biggest self critic. SUGA told Jin on Suchwita that only he can do what he does in the group and he's earned his place like everyone else. It was so heartwarming because as the two oldest hyungs they were long time roommates. We purple you Jin 💜🐹

Jin was street scouted purely for his looks and learned to sing and dance from zero at the age of 18-19. he debuted as a vocalist with BTS at 20 in June 2013… Lovingly known as worldwide handsome, he is serving in the South Korean military until about June 2024, where he has been selected as an elite class soldier after a grueling physical test… unsure of his worth as a member, he wrote the painfully beautiful song awake.. the combination of awake and epiphany reveal the arc of his journey… but it is tonight released in 2019 that gets me every time.. he sings about his grief over losing beloved pets with so much emotion and sincerity … He shines in their Japanese tracks due to his vocal presence in songs like let go and crystal snow… thank you for your thoughtful journey… the Taylor documentary is a good starting point to understand the group and the members but I think you complete your review of solo works and then watch it… 💜

Kevin Kim, one of the Creative Directors of Plan A for BTS Tours wrote in his book, BTS Jin's Epiphany Performance Felt 'Like Meeting A God'! Kim described the whole performance as something that made Jin "so holy" before the audience. In Japan, he was the only member to receive STANDING OVATION for Epiphany and Awake previously in 2017. This is only given to classical musicians usually. And Kim admitted, creating a stage for a ballad song is "difficult!" But they've shared so many ideas with Jin which could cover an entire concert for the two-year shows. Last but not least, Jin is the only University grad majored in acting! So, his stage performances, expressions & enunciation (in all the languages they sing) are the most perfectly attuned to his solo & BTS songs, among all the members.

Jin's voice is dubbed as Silver voice because his voice is sharp and strong. Always hitting high notes clearly and with total perfection. The song is a reflection of himself from before and after he joined BTS and trained really hard as he did not know how to sing and before joining his company and how his journey was during training period and how it was after training. So this song is his struggles to become a good singer and how his members and his fans helped him improve his singing and dancing ability with their love and support and this song specifically dedicated to BTS fans.

Jin wasn't a singer when he joined Big Hit. He learned as a trainee. Now he's known in the industry as The Silver Voice. He's just amazing 💜

I've seen this song performed live twice and cried both times. Imagine 50k+ people all singing "I'm the one I should love" at the top of their lungs. Its extremely moving and beautiful. The official MV for this song has better subtitles. All BTS official MVs have subtitles included, live versions are translated and subbed by random people and may not be 100% accurate.

Thank you for this reaction to Jin! Epiphany is the song that made me ARMY! I’m a 55yo ARMY from the Midwest. When I first heard this song a little over 3 years ago, in early summer 2020, I was dealing with the pandemic & also the realization of my children leaving the nest. After so many years of being an on the go mom, wife, employee, I had pushed my needs & wants to the bottom of the list. Jin & all the members through their songs made me understand that it is not selfish to love and care for myself. I will be forever grateful to him for the simple lines telling me to love & accept all of my imperfections as they are part of my beautiful whole self. Thank you again for taking the time to learn about BTS, they are some of the most talented, amazing & humble humans you will ever know💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

So many times it seems Jin is overlooked or last...and thats astounding to me as a HUGE part of BTS' sound is based upon the stregth of his vocals. He is the bedrock of BTS.

Jin has my favorite voice in BTS. He sings with so much emotion, its beautiful. I recommend "Yours", amazing song that shows more about his voice potencial

jin's voice is the one that makes me the most emotional. all of his solo songs make me very sad and thoughtful. "awake" is my favorite.

He's actually hit a full voice B5# live as well (song: Crystal Snow). 😁👍 Epiphany is a very meaningful song in their discography but if we're talking about Jin's vocal abilities solo songs like Yours or Awake show them off way better. 💜

I love Jin's voice. His story is amazing. He was scouted off the street just because of his good looks. He didn't sing or dance until he went into training, so he started from groud zero. What undiscovered talent! His talent is just amazing.

This remains as one of my favorite BTS songs of all time. Aside from the deep and meaningful lyrics, it was Jin's silver voice that really made me fall in love with this song. Jin will always be my favorite in BTS when it comes to vocals. Thanks for this reaction!!

All the BTS members are extremely hard working & multi talented & I love them all. There's not one of them who hasn't literally put their blood, sweat, & tears into their music & performances. But the things that stand out about Jin to me are his absolute resolve to learn to sing, dance, & play piano from zero prior experience. The fact that he was scouted off the street based on his looks & made it into what would become the biggest musical group in the world, speaks volumes about his talent & tenacity. Also his Dad-like sense of humor & love for his brothers & ARMY make him so beloved by all of us. The "Worldwide Handsome, you know?" part of his personality means he's always joking, having fun, & taking things in stride, but the strength of character he has when it comes to representing himself & BTS is no joke.Jin is legendary. Much love, Seokjin. Stay healthy as you serve your country. 💜

This song is an anthem for ARMY and for the members themselves, cause a huge part of the BTS's themes in songs is self development and self love, and this song embrace that so well! It's one of the forever favorites BTS songs among ARMY! Jin is a great vocalist, he has so much emotional in his voice and we can feel it, I love him!

Kitty cat! I saw this live at Soldier Field. You can’t even describe how incredible it was for 50 thousand people singing “I’m the one I should Love” gives me goosebumps just thinking of it.

I think most ARMYs at one point have been helped irl through this song (me included). The whole Love Yourself era is about finding yourself, accepting yourself and loving yourself flaws and all. And Jin’s voice, emotion and performance captured the meaning of this song. This will always be one of my fave Jin songs.

when talking about Jin's vocal, he has that unique tone where critics often refer him as "SILVER VOICE" a strong singer with a wonderful tone, stable technique-driven vocals, and wide range. the only complain is that he gets very less lines/part in a group song but he still manages to outshine due to his high, smooth vocals. But in his solos u get to see a wide range of his vocals which is just wonderful and ear pleasing.

You may really like Crystal Snow. Watch the live Japan 4. Jin hits what Army calls a triple high note towards the end of the song. He gets very high.

I guess Jin is a very good case for a vocal coach because he actually didn't have singing experience until he was about 20 and casted to be a big hit trainee.

Jin’s live vocals are amazing, the album version don’t give his voice and vocal range any justice, I only listen to Jin live as this is where he shines. This performance, The Astronaut Live Performance in Argentina with Coldplay, Fix You Cover Live Performance & Moon Live Performance are my favourite performances of Jin, he’s not my bias wrecker since 2015 for no reason. Considering my Ultimate bias is the entire rap line, Jin is my fav out of the Vocal Line.

Jin joined BigHit as a trainee at the age of 20 with absolutely no experience singing and learned to sing and dance there. That's what makes us appreciate Jin so much. His hardwork and passion 💜💜💜

extra impressive is also that he didnt really sing before he was 18 and became a trainee at Big Hit and he was mainly focused on becoming an actor before... but at Big Hit he joined BTS and trained in dance and singing starting from scratch... his hard work and dedication really shines💜

In context none of the vocalline members sang before and only Jimin and Hoseok danced. Only Namjoon and Yoongi could rap and had experience. Which does not make Jin's journey less incredible but maybe not that different from the other members. Jimin for example did not even get vocal lessons (he sat in on some of JK's and Taehyung's)till in 2016 and is currently learning more basics. I think Awake describes Jin's emoion at that time quiet well and how he saw himself as the members protector even as he may not been able to fly (like them). He is so strong and in ballads he shines so beautifully.

@@TYSGHy78 🤨 Not sure what you are telling me. The other members did get lessons from the label and the same vocalcoach. Why Jimin didn't I don't know: timing? money? Did it impact Jimin? It did, very much. I have no idea why he didn't because no one ever said it. It does not bother me, because I believe the reason was a good one that couldn't be helped. (Maybe it had something to do with them trying to make him rap? IDK) Jimin did ask for it now. And I think he got his first lesson in 2016 or so. If I remember he may have said something of understanding JK's advice better than the coach back than. He can afford to change technique. Because that won't make his vocaltone any different. But it may help to preserve his voice if the technique he is using now damages his voice in the long run.

Hybe call him the lead singer so it's very obvious they will give him the best unless training his voice will damage it. As you can see his recent performances, his vocal chords are very much damaged. The vocal coach would have asked him to use safer technique but that will force him to give up his unique tone His charm is his unique tone n that need to change

Thanks for your reaction! Jin is amazing at emitting and evoking emotion with his vocals. I was lucky enough to experience Epiphany live in concert and hearing an entire stadium of ARMY singing "I'm the one I should love" with all our being was one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever been part of! I'm 43 and been a fan of BTS since 1/1/18. I was never a huge fan or part of a fandom for any group/celeb, not even as a teen, so it took me by surprise when I fell in love with BTS and all the members. Their diverse discography and amazing choreo keep it interesting. And, their amazing, kind, and fun personalities make everyone love them even more! They are some of the best role models.

Epiphany is probably ARMY's favorite Jin song. Great message. For me my favorite is Jin live performing Awake. I love his vocals, the use of live string instruments, and most saliently the lyrics feel like they are describing my life and emotions.

EPIPHANY by our precious Seokjin, has been my favorite solo by Jin thus far. It’s (arguably) one of the last songs in the Bangtan Universe aka BU Storyline.Note: Please refer to Doolset Bangtan for the best translations. Thank you for reviewing it. #peace #BTS #Jin

The amazing thing about Jin he is the "silver voice" but he was not a singer at the age of 20. He began after he started training with the agency. Jin can own a stage so powerfully, and he sings this from the heart. His vocal control is impressive, always, and I love his belt. It's so fun watching people fall into the individual BTS members - every one of them is so good at what they do.

RM, Suga and jhope are the established rappers out of Bangtan. Taylor’s guide is really well done, I hope you guys enjoy it. It’s around 40 minutes long but we’ll watch it too, we love seeing peoples genuine reactions to them. By the way, your cat is gorgeous! ✌️💜

The Silver Voice, Kim Seokjin😍

I love the professional analysis from you guys! Many people are just amazed by Jin’s belting ability, but you guys absolutely pinpointed one of the reasons why this performance was so impressive, which was Jin’s complete control of the vocal techniques he applied throughout the song! BTW, Shirley is gorgeous!💜

The band are live, they're at the back of the stage... the rhythm section is always awesome... they tend to stay out of the limelight to let the members shine... For Suga (Yoongi) the trilogy most people would have already mentioned... my favourite of his is People Pt 2, a track that he did with IU... All of the members have beautiful voices with their own unique colours that are perfect for different vibes and moods but Jin's vocals really is a personal fave for me. The way his voice seems to cut through the music always surprises me. It's piercingly beautiful and sort of haunting at times. I still can't get over the fact that he was struggling with his vocals during the Busan concert because I remembered thinking that his voice was shining so much during his performances. Especially during Run BTS was when he stood out so much to me.

Always always give more priority to the live performances than the studio versions. BTS are known for their incredible live performances which is very tough to nail considering the dancing involved with the live singing. But BTS' live performance with the ARMY'S energies are unmatched. You could always do long videos with live and studio versions and ARMYS will be happy to hear your discussions.

Jin is a superstar. This song and his interpretation of it is superb. The amazing thing is that he didn't know how to sing when he was recruited to BTS, or dance either. Sometimes I think his background as an actor helps him to perform. If you haven't watched him performing The Astronaut on stage in Argentina then you really should. He is amazing, and truly alone without his brothers in the wings. Now he is doing his mandatory military service and is also loved by all his trainees. Not only a great performer, but a lovely person too.

Besides being a beautifully put together ballad, Jin does an amazing delivery, his vocal skills, maybe underappreciated by some people at first, and his passion and emotions make it a masterpiece when he performs it live. This song for me really represents Jin. Not just his vocal ability and music skills in general but his philosophy as a person. If you watch enough of him in BTS content and his messages to ARMY, his interactions or at least what we see of them with the rest of the world, with fame and all that, I feel like this song is one he has actually incorporated into who he is as a person and it's reflected in that way. He's just so cool to me as a person.

I'm sure you can imagine how much some people NEEDED this song. The first time I heard it, I cried. I played it for my sister in law, and she cried. A lot of their discography does that honestly, but this song is so special to so many. Thanks for watching with an open mind 💜

My girlfriend, who trips in one bad relationship to another, desperate for someone, who really loves her, struggled with selfconfident. She's very beautifull and lets herself get into douchbags, who cheated on her. I've invited her to have a drink in my home and putted the translation of the song in form of a love letter in a make up case as a gift and showd her the song. Maaaannn did she cried and i couldn't resist crying, either. It was a wonderfull moment. This was the first time in her life, to stay single for a while until she found herself and looking for a charasteristic nice guy, who deserves her. She's still single. 😆 It was 2 years ago. What is fantastic about Jin is that in didn't want to be an idol/singer in first place but an actor. So unlike the others members he started in the musical field very late. At first he wasn't good so so lack of confidence in him but after an veryyyyyy hard work, now he is an of most talented singer in -pop industry. His vocal's range is the most vast in BTS especially in the high note (like in the "crystal snow" or dionisos"...) and msot of all full of emotion. You should try the compilations of jin's vocals or "the astronaute" at coldplay's concert in argentina

Epiphany is indeed a self-love anthem and NO ONE can sing it better than Seokjin. So many people, including me, were saved by this song. That feeling of epiphany when you listen to the song is just...MAGICAL and it makes you want to live a good life. 🥺

I legit always cry everytime i heard or watch Jin singing this song. Fyi, Jin was graduated from acting major, he has no singing nor dancing skill. So that's why, it was a hard times in the past for him to catch up with other members (some members already have rapping, singing or dancing skill before they joined the group). But he never gave up, he was determined. When others are done with practicing, he will stay and practice more and more. I'm not saying others member got everything easily, still they put so much to be who they are today. But Jin was really come from 0 to become who he is today. Back than, on most of their songs, Jin was the one with the shortest line participation.. Haters also come to him just because of his lack of singing and dancing skill. He maybe look so happy, but he's that type that didn't show his real emotion much. So this song, really mean so much. As we know that he is now accepting and embracing himself, and learning to love his precious self 😭😭😭 I'm not good at explaining, but hope you guys get what i mean

I have been waiting for you two do your next reaction as I so enjoyed your first reaction to BTS! Jin is my bias. Epiphany is a beautiful song and he delivers it with such emotions . When I heard Awake I burst out in tears as I knew he was singing about himself within the group because he was the only member who didn’t have either dancing or singing experience and what he is today is through very hard work and determination to not disappoint others, especially the members while on the stage. While so many of us are writing to you and providing some information I just want to clarify one thing. It’s the age part. Up until this year Korea’s age system was different from every other country. In Korea they counted the birth as 1 years old, then the very next new years as 2 years old and then when the first birthday comes around you are 3 years old. So when you watch BTS’s videos and the members are talking about their age you need to subtract by 2 years to fit the international age system. It’s very confusing when you read our comments and watching documentaries and some of the clip from their interviews about their age. Jin was 18 years old when he was recruited off the streets and he thought he was auditioning as an actor. He was also approached by another music label SM Entertainment while he was walking on the streets but he thought it was a scam. Thank you so much for reacting to Jin 💜 Borahae.

Jin is not only an amazing singer but an amazing person as well (all of the 7 members are!) and has a very special bond with ARMY. He always tries to make everyone around him feel comfortable. He can easily brighten your day with his hilarious jokes and his laughter :-) I’m sure this song helped a lot of people to learn to love themselves- as they should.
