I thought of this exact concept about 8 years ago or so and thought that Fender would be the best company to implement. I wrote it out in a detailed document and sent it to them. I didn't ask for payment of any description but as a marketeer, I get a buzz out of inventing ideas and seeing them implemented. Some low level employee said it was interesting and that they'd pass it on to someone who had the power to do something about it. I never heard anything further. I did make efforts to get someone's attention at Fender. No success. Their loss, I guess. I shall be greatly looking forward to visiting the Gibson Garage next time I'm in London. They seem to have implemented the concept exactly as I imagined it.

Awesome! Gibson really needs to get younger people playing their guitars. Almost every new band I see uses Fender. Start with the Junior and Special - get them into young rock bands hands!

If Brits can buy American Gibsons through the Gibson Garage, I want to buy here in the States from the Gibson Japan Garage (i.e Tokai (Japan)? Oh wait, superior quality at less than 1/2 the price with no import tax or shipping? Yeah never mind 🤣

Seriously? Page: LES PAULS, SG DOUBLE NECK, GIBSON ACOUSTICS. May: GIBSON FLYING V - And Gibson will apparently be producing Custom Shop replicas of May's legendary, home made Red Special guitar in a new deal with the guitarist.
