He conveniently left out the fact corps. who pay low wages are effectively subsidized by tax payer welfare & private charities. But hey, that's capitalism for ya'. Only pump propaganda, not the whole picture. Let the tax payers and donations pick up the difference for the poverty wages.

Very good. This is the same advise I've given people for many years. I have trained many technicians over the course of the years. And I've taught them all; If you're looking for a walk through the park, this field is not for you. This is work. This field is not for the weak. This field is for those who are hungry for a good career, a good trade. You may not get wealthy, but you won't go hungry.

When I travel I go out of my way to try to locate a Jimmy John’s. Enjoy the food and service but I know about some generosity is this man has made to people in need. I feel really good about supporting him and his business.

When I was making 1.25 an hour in the 60's, my burger, fries and a Coke lunch cost about 1.25. It hasnt changed much.

I agree. We opened a small restaurant during COVID that we started construction January 2019. Had we not signed a lease and began construction, I wouldn't have opened. Now that I experienced no one wanting to work, don't open a small business unless you have family workers.

In addition to Illinois' high minimum wage making fast food very expensive, there are also a lot of towns like Bloomington, Urbana, Decatur, etc. that charge a higher sales tax on fast food. Some of the highest are in the Chicago area, but even downstate there are towns charging a double digit sales tax on fast food.

This is good, solid advice!!

I've always LOVED TO WORK 😀 and I always came early and left late and did everything that I saw that needed to be done .. alas .. others including management get very worried that I am after their job .. when all I wanted to do was to help the "team" succeed 😧 around my neighborhood, though, I see others get out and work on cleaning up or riding their bikes with the kids .. sometimes .. we just have to lead by example and continue to plant seeds 💖

The push for $15 has forced me to stop eating out altogether.

My dad started a job 30 years ago he now owns the company.
