How does he say he grew up poor but his dad put $25,000 in his checking …

That’s a good question. Having listened to a few interviews, it sounds like his father was a very capable dude but went through two bankruptcies before he found what worked as an engineer/machinist. Considering he charged his son interest, he was probably a tightwad.

It was a loan. And look what he turned it in to. It’s not just about the money, you can start with nothing and with hard work, turn it into whatever you want

@@tommyjones1357 I couldn’t have said it better. I would add that “poor” is an opinion. I wouldn’t say I grew up poor however I would say my mentor treats me poorly.

@@jayroc3337 thanks bro. If you’re listening to this video, then I’m assuming you’ve got this running in the background while you’re chipping away at your business endeavors. It’s been three months since I left that last comment and I still remember listening to this interview while building my coffee shop. Getting ready to launch in the coming months! Hope you’re working on something good too!

@@tommyjones1357 the only reason I pay for KZread is so I can listen to videos like this while I work. Haha. I am in a unique position in life where I’m probably the the only contractor in a sales position for an appliance company that also draws a salary with that company. The world is a beautiful place and money is everywhere. Hard work and devotion does pay off. I need to start my own business however I feel stuck. Congratulations on your coffee shop! Honestly makes me smile when I hear about people starting a business. Remember, hard work is one thing, making it work is another, failure is ok, giving up is unacceptable.
