Martin Short's witty improv when he roasts other comedians and catches them off guard is brilliant. Lovitz also held himself well.

@And I'm Still Here Idiots Of course Short has an idea beforehand of how he's going to insult his guest, but not everything is staged, particularly not the interaction between host and guest when the battle of wits arises. Don't be retarded.

I guess Between Two Ferns is close enough. Seems like a clone actually. Cheap set, get the guests name wrong or pretend to forget it, take shots at their work, do the snooze sound for a boring answer. He just replaced donuts with a buzzer.

@@felyxmillicent6538 thanks! after googling now I see the following "Alcohol and Divorce Ben Affleck met Jennifer Garner on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2020, where they hit it off and eventually married. However, Ben Affleck has a history of alcohol abuse that reared its ugly head during the marriage. It’s a reason for the divorce and the alcohol abuse continued long after."

Why is every JG clip online a horrible pixilated/low quality clip? Aren't there any quality recording of this gold?

I think Jon Lovits would have been a much bigger star if he was working as a comedic actor in the 40s and 5Qs. So underrated

Check out the KZread videos of the late Merv Griffin and especially of the late Skip E. Lowe. You’ll see a glimmer of what Martin Short saw when crafting the Jiminy Glick character. Comedy Gold!!!

Jiminy ( martin Short) should do a few more of these, some young stars some repeats from the past, some reality tv starts and if they don't know the joke it would be even better.
