"So you lie on top of her with that body." - Jerry The crew member exploding in the background right as he gets to the end of that sentence is priceless. Literally everything about this show was absolute genius.

The fact that he managed to not break character after Jerry said that is incredible. It almost seems like he covers his face as he scractches his nose to compose himself, it's a split second. You can tell the joke caught Martin off guard but he handled it like the legend he is.

Seinfeld couldn't stand for Short to get in zingers at his expense, and chose to go onto the offensive. He was funny - but it was über snarky Jerry. The interviews I enjoy the most are those who allow Short some room to maneuver on his own and then let him lead (Dreyfus, Mullally, Lovitz, Levy, O'Hara, etc.). Seinfeld is nobody's second fiddle. Jerry Seinfeld speaking extemporaneously is not an interesting person, he's not funny, he's arrogant and thinks he embodies the funniness that is actually Larry David's writing. It's great that these two comedy masters can do this in character ... Although we don't know how many retakes it took if one of them burst out laughing. Seinfeld couldn't stand for Short to get in zingers at his expense, and chose to go onto the offensive. He was funny - but it was über snarky Jerry. 1:09 _"In college. So you did finish. See! So I lost that bet"_ savage 🤣
Aren't you kind.
One of the funniest bits I've ever seen. When Jerry starts ripping on his weight...omg
"Completely out of your element and "yet" you make it work". Never get tired of that type of humour.
the confidence and the easiness of his impro his jaw dropping ! I think that i've never seen a makeup hide a face that much, even knowing who he his i still can't recognize hm !
Banter between two masters of comedy. Absolute gold.
Agree that the funniest is the crew cracking up in the background..... like the early filmed bit by Abbot & Costello of 'Who's on First?'
It's funny AF! Gotta watch more Glick!
Martin's intention is to get his guest to react or snap.. like Jimmy Fallon did.. yet Jerry turned it around on him and got him to react, and nearly break character! Love how Jerry cut him back soo good..!!

But it wasnt funny.
It's great that these two comedy masters can do this in character ... Although we don't know how many retakes it took if one of them burst out laughing. The crew obviously has a difficult time not busting up. The edge definitely goes to Martin, but then he's perfected this act and Jerry is a guest so it makes sense he's funnier.

I think you have to give it to Seinfeld on points. After all, Jimney knew where he wanted to go with the interview, had planned his questions. JS was doing all his stuff off the cuff. But it was a great balance between the two. One of the better Glick interviews. Whatever happened to him?
That was fast back and forth. Scorched earth burns.
"That's gold, Jerry! Gold!!"
I love this clip. Whenever I need a laugh.....
The cast in the background losing it is, is my favorite. And Jerrys eyes
Hands down the BEST Jiminy Glick interview. The chemistry between the two is untouchable.

The Larry David one is great too.
This was great!
Man, these 2 comedians together in 1 room is Flawless. Martin Short (jiminy Glick) & Jerry Seinfield.
Jiminy Glick tops Seinfeld here. It's great.
1:11 In college and you so you did finish, see so I lost that bet, one night we got together and watched your special, you kept on "why do people", ahhh, I can't remember anything else, but it was, the phrasing was very unique, and some people say "boy, he;s so bland and there;s a nothingness there", but I don't feel that, I feel that there is a wisdom to you, just because the eyes are so dull doesn't mean there isn't a machinery of wheels clicking away.... Pure genius.
I cannot watch this without lmao till I cry.
This is highly editted, but there is nothing I want to see more, than the uneditted takes, the raw footage of this conversation.
Folks: It's a put-on interview, if you've never seen one before. Jerry and Martin are doing what they agreed on in advance in this satire of talk shows. Neither one is an asshole and both are very funny.

1brewski2, It's called "sarire" (explaining it, means you didn't get it!).
His impression of Seinfeld is so damn funny
Nice clean copy. Thank you.
We need this
that was great, Martin once worked with Julia and Larry David on SNL
