I expected a great song but though I knew it would be good I didn’t expect THIS

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW: It's probably just called Pt.2 because it has the same name as Agust D's song 'Set Me Free' but just like with RM's 'Change' and 'Change Pt.2' they are totally unrelated to each other as RM explained. 'Set Me Free Pt.2' is Jimin's song, nowhere in the credits is Yoongi mentioned, it is not said to be a part 2 of Yoongi's song or to have any connection to it except for that the name happens to be the same.

@@fancy0485 I would take that answer he gave as more of there not being a intentional connection at first when writing the song. But after it was finished realizing there was a slight connection in that they could be listened to right next to each other and can have the same title

the last lift was a call back to his solo song "Lie". To get out of the lie and become his true self, he overcame the shadow. The song has a ton of amazing call backs to ON, Black Swan, and Lie.

the beat sounds like something kanye would release 5 years ago lol it’s an absolute banger. would’ve been dope if a rapper featured in it but jimin killed it regardless

Said this a few times now.. The two album versions are part of this MV. In the first part he is in all black with rings on every finger and an earring, and all the silver "Hardware".. in the middle set his outfit has lost almost all embellishments and the emphasis is on HIM (the tatted poem across his torso) and in the end he is starting over, NO jewelry, wearing white, the "Software" side of him. Really genius.

This is everything we expected from him but at the same time we didn’t see it coming😭😭 I love this for him!👏🏼👏🏼

The poem is a german poem from 1899. The english title is "I live my life in widening circles". Search it up there are a lot of references in the MV too
