Also!! I love the nod in the lyrics when Jimin says, "going insane to stay sane". Because in ON those lyrics were "gotta go insane to stay sane." So in a way it's an anthem,and a nod to ON. And it's beautiful because you can see how the group truly embody their lyrics and how they write these songs authentically to them as s group and individuals.

Love the song, the video, and the choreography! The dark imagery and Autotune are a good fit for the message behind the lyrics. People complain about Autotune, but when it’s purposeful and used in an artistic way, it works well, and that’s the case here. Great lyrics, and I love the visual tie ins to Lie, ON, and Black Swan. This song is AMAZING, and I was sold on it from the first look. Shout out to Jimin! Angel turned Dark Angel for this one!🔥🔥🔥

This song just feels RICH AND FULL. It's so haunting and dark and yet feels so grand and spiritual. And bruh, BTS' production never lacks. Same.. overall the concept, the dancing and the MV definitely made it great. I didn't mind the autotune, it did fit the vibe of everything but I didn't like when it turned into a robotic voice. It's different for Jimin and I liked that he showed his versatility as a performer even more.

My friends and I had a little watch party on discord for the release. We all looked shocked on the cams and none of us said anything for a solid minute after it finished and then we all collectively lost our shit 😂

The first part i don't think it's autotune, cuz if u watch other BTS/JIMIN videos, he actually talks in that voice so when he's in his lower register, especially as low as his talking voice, he actually sounds like that. Only because he doesn't OFFICIALLY sing/rap like that until SMFP2, people don't recognize the lower voice of his😂

I also saw some people saying the wall of boxes in a semi circle could be something called a "Panopticon". Prisons are often built in this manner. The concept being that all the prisoners can be watched by one guard without them knowing if they are being watched. In art, the spiral shape can represent the past and future and/or for becoming and passing away. Then of course the poem on his chest. STANDING OVATION from me. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 This will become my anthem for those days when you just need to say "screw societies expectations" Ironically I am in one of those places in life right now.
