So simple yet so good. I didn't realize that solo was all in 5 frets and one pentatonic lol.
This shape was one of the first things I was ever taught by my father when I first started learning to play guitar. I think it is one of the most useful starting points for beginners. Just don't do what I did and rely on it too much!

These videos are unbelievable. Kudos
I used to teach this solo to my guitar students as a way of showing them how to come up with interesting ways of phrasing simple shapes!!
I absolutely love the animation of intervals. Love it.
This with the Google Chrome looper extension and KZread slow-down feature is gold! Thank you!
Out of all the thousands of lessons I’ve watched, this is one of the top! The wood shop at the end is amazing, actually teaching us to really absorb and learn the licks and how to manipulate them.
Hey, I Love the WAY, that Software DISPLAYS BENDS - HUGELY SIGNIFICANT!!!
Love Hendrix and appreciate the way you teach
Thanks,Gary..this channel is best one to learn how to play guitar so quickly on "fretlive" method. We can say that again n again!👍👍👍👍✔🆗️✔
Awesome, man! Thanks so much! I LOVE the fretboard diagram. Gotta check out more of these.
Love the technique and double stops. Thanks so much.
We all have the same notes available. We dont all have the same soul_that is earned. Well done.
Top guitarist and very easy to follow and agree with him in putting in the different riffs providing they are close to Hendrix's riffs if you want to change them slightly but will sound as good and make it your own by improvising as well and Hendrix didn't play it the same way twice and nobody can argue with the master genius that Hendrix was because his songs are epic
This is my favourite learning method by far! It helps us to quickly understand what the players were thinking/visualizing. Could you do this for the guitar intro and solo for Led Zeppelin's Since I've Been Loving You? It's one of the best works by Jimmy Page.
That's one of the best rhythms I believe I've ever heard
your videos are brilliant ! thank you !
I’ve been learning guitar on youtube for a while but just only came across your channel today, i saw the thumbnail and was like nothing i’ve seen before, i subscribed within 2 minutes cuz i know this is quality stuff, this is awesome

FAN-TAS-TIC . LOVE this channel. Love this solo breakdown and your lessons in general. Hey, question: What is this software that's generating the interactive tabs, fingering etc? Will MUCH appreciating you making similar lessons to other musicians, perhaps David Gilmore, perhaps Slash, all sorts of different guitar solos if you can break them down in this way - that's a killer lesson. POW MUSIC, Why does Hendrix modulates switches keys to the E major pentatonic pattern#2? Hendrix also does this in Purple Haze solo which you should do a video lesson about if its E major pentatonic or E Dorian in purple haze solo.

i am also a patron member but let me ask a stupid question here. i purchased a Les Paul ( i like the look andFeel), but i get the idea that a Strat would have been wise for more options and longer fretboard and such. so, should ik start saving for a Stat? ( most of the rockers on YT have a Strat.) sometimes my fat fingers do not enjoy the little amount of place around fret 12 and up. is this the same with a Strat? please advise ( no strings attached of course :) )
I have visited Jimi's grave in the nearby city of Renton, Washington.
The amazing thing about Jimi Hendrix is that the majority of his playing came from his imagination. And Everyone else has to be taught.

@@dr.manhattan6278 Well you just kind of proved my point by referring to those polls. Listen to Holdsworth or Metheny and tell me Hendrix is in the same league harmonically, technically or rhythmically. Hendrix is a legend indeed but people overlook his actual guitar skills for that very reason.

I'm obviously not familiar with your process or how you developed FretLive, but is it something you are interested in selling? As in, is this software based and you possibly will sell to teachers in the future or is this more extremely meticulous editing. I'd love to be able to purchase the tools to do this if it was somehow viable to sell in software form .
I've never realized before that the minor pentatonic makes you sound like you're drunk.
One great improvement you could make to your graphic is to change the note while playing it from the scale degree to the actual note. Once you release it the note would go back to its scale degree name.
