    Steranko is one of my all time favorite artists. I had said he was in my top 5, but he had a word with me once about that. Now I say he's in my top 3 lol

    Geof Darrow. Don't really know much about him but he does a comic called Hard Boiled and the art work is pretty trippy and fun to look at.

    The reason Steranko is the Hendrix of Comics (to me) is that like Jimi Hendrix, he was almost completely self-taught. He never had any formal art training, which was a blessing for his style. Had Hendrix studied music theory, he would never have played as originally as he played.

    Such a pioneer! Finally got to meet him last year. Drove the guys behind me crazy, because he spent a solid 10 minutes talking with me. WITH me, not at me-as some creators do.

    Geekery with Dante D He asked my why I picked the print of X-Men #50 (Polaris) to get signed, then told me some great stuff about it. He also asked me about my life, and tried to predict how much I can bench press 🤣

    Oh yeah man, he was a total badass. That is why he is my favourite. His art is cool, but he’s also a super cool guy from what I know of him. I like revolutionary badasses like Hendrix and Steranko!

    Oh right, cool. yeah a lot of really groovy info in the video, gonna need to go through my Dads old collection in the loft and see if I can find any issues by Steranko to have a look at. quite intrigued by French artist Moebius at the moment as well since he played a part in the visualisation of a lot of my favourite films.

    Steranko was so cool JACK KIRBY DEDICATED a comic to him,,,MISTER MIRACLE,,Jim was a BRILLIANT escape artist so the KING made a FANTASTIC BRILLIANT comic of him,,,,steranko never claimed to be kirby he had his own style and slow.....??? When did jack make a comic about you,,,,over 50 years later and some NOBODY BUTTON pushing about NOTHING,,,steranko was a genius!!!!!!

    @@1voiceofstl He was still slow,,,,and when did you create ONE the THOUSANDS of characters Jack kirby drew for us from 1930,s to 1993 so you could criticise him with his sights fading and by1980 it WAS SOOOOOO painful to even hold a pencil....this guy JACK KIRBY SMASHED world records for being the most prolific SPEED DEMON IN COMICS.when you come along...who are you,,,,,,,,, JACK KING KIRBY!!!!!!!!!

    Yes I know... I discovered how rotten he was from researching for this video! I’ll always be grateful for the fact that he had a hand in the creation of Batman, but he’ll always be remembered as a snake... great to hear from you again, thanks for watching and commenting!
